Does anyone know if all Ph.D. rejections are out for Stanford electrical? It was weird they told some people early, normally they do it with their master's results.

Does anyone know if all the PhD rejections are out? Normally those are sent when masters acceptances are sent but this time, a lot of people found out early.

A lot of people have heard back with acceptances and rejections for Stanford Electrical. Can everyone, who has and hasn't post stats?

Some people heard from Stanford EE PhD and were accepted. Can you state what time they release results?

Stanford EE PhD probably will give out results starting tomorrow. I'm really nervous. Unfortunately, I didn't get an interview but that could have been because I had a recommendation letter from an alumni. So it's still possible I think that I have a shot. My gre was 158/162/4.5 V/Q/W low quantitative ... please feel free to comment on what you think of this situation.

To those who are contacted by POI or receive informal acceptances by POI, were you in contact with them before applying or do POI sometimes just contact students who mention them in their application?

The professor was very nice and found sources of outside funding I could apply for. I think if I had applied and said no to needing funding, the outcome would have been different. Generally international PhD degrees aren't well liked in US except when they are from Cambridge or Oxford (well known universities like these)

Fiain: can you talk a bit more about yourself? I applied to Cambridge for brain sciences. They said since I am just graduating undergraduate, for me to receive funding, I should get masters or post-bach experience. What has been your impression?

Do you guys know how much a letter of recommendation from an alumni can make a difference? I applied to Stanford EE PhD and didn't receive an interview (it seems like they don't interview all their applicants who are accepted). Low GRE comparatively. GPA average. I am a BME so it's tough already to get in with the field switch I would think. Some publications, 1 in the field, other in drug delivery not related to EE.

someone received a rejection from Stanford EE. Do you think it's legit? Seems really early.

I couldn't find a forum about electrical engineering 2018 applications. Decisions are rolling in apparently. Someone posted they got rejected from Stanford and found out through the website. Could this be true? It's so early.

I hate that we don't know when schools send out invites. Like we find out by checking the forums cause we haven't received one and hope they stagger ahhhh

Thanks, I really hope not all were sent out at once. No one has mentioned any sent out today. Hopefully, they staggered them and will send more out tomorrow.
