@Lauren423 Hello! Fellow "baby" here. I don't know what you define as "successful", but I do have interviews lined up. On the same note, I am prepared to be confronted about my relative emotional maturity and ability to relate to elderly folks. I was talking to a GC the other day and she mentioned the landscape of GC students is changing. When she was applying (3-4 years ago), as a 27-year-old, she was the oldest person in her class. She mentioned that for some schools she was waitlisted at, the cohort was mainly people in their early twenties. Nowadays, she noticed that the cohorts are older on average. Or fluctuate by year.

Thank you! I called them and also emailed them earlier, but I was shuttled to voicemail and have yet to hear anything. With the impending Family Day I guess I will have to wait till Tuesday!

It sounds like they are just manically updating the results...I wonder if they might have even made a mistake in your decisional explanation. I have been checking the portal very often! My application is still "Complete. Under Review in Department" I just want to know so I can possibly minimize the amount of time I have to take off school/work

I believe UManitoba has sends 2 emails that tells you your application is complete. If you have received those, I would definitely ask. I emailed them just now because I have gotten no update on my application at all and got an automatic email telling us to inquire after April 27th.

On the results page, it looks like someone got a rejection letter from the University of Manitoba yesterday...! Oh my, my anxiety is rising again

I have a feeling the U of M referred to was Michigan haha! But my friend who applied last year said they also sent our rejection letters late February early March last year. But fingers crossed for us!

I haven't heard back from Manitoba either! However, yesterday, my application status when from "Complete. Under Initial Assessment by Graduate Studies. Check back in 3-4 weeks." to "Complete. Under Review by Department. I'm not going to keep my hopes up because it has already been so long since Manitoba sent out interviews...
