Hello. This is my first post! I couldn't find a thread on this so I will make one.
ONLINE MASTERS:
I am looking for an online masters program that is academically rigorous and not just a waste of money. Either MA or MS is fine.
I want something that requires at least six courses; certificates usually let you get away with four to five only. However, I would need to finish this degree before Fall 2019.
Any recommendations for affordable ones? I am in New York City. (Out-of-state tuition is a consideration.)
BACKGROUND:
Applied math BS. I have worked in finance for two years and will continue to do so until an MBA.
GOALS:
Got to a top 7 MBA in Fall of 2019.
Learn stats on my own because I may want to do a more quantitative or trading-like role, opposed to banking/consulting. Unfortunately, MBA curricula aren't so math/stats heavy.
I don't care about the prestige or marketability of my stats degree, I just want to prove on paper that I have the knowledge. The prestige and networking opportunities will come from my current work experience and the B-school.
LIST:
I found this massive list. I'm afraid it may be more marketing than an objective evaluation. https://www.bestmastersdegrees.com/top/affordable-online-masters-statistics-data-analytics
Thank you guys!
