I didn't check/notice that. I was initially told they were doing rolling admissions, I'd hear in 2 weeks. It got pushed back every time I talked with them. Maybe they changed their mind on the rolling admissions?

Hello ... I've been reading your posts without contributing anything. I applied to Laurier's online/part-time program starting in May. Has anyone else applied or heard anything? When I initially contacted them, I was told they were doing rolling admissions for that program and I'd hear back in 2 weeks. Then when I submitted my application, it was up to 4 weeks. Then everyone who applied would hear by the end of February.
Still haven't heard anything back at all ... the program is supposed to start in 2 months. I'm wondering for practical reasons too, like am I going to be needing to pay tuition? What about summer plans? I'm sure everyone here can relate that knowing something would be fantastic compared to simply being left with silence.

Have you heard anything yet? I also applied to this program, and was also told the end of February. I haven't heard anything yet.

Feels like admissions committees should abide by the same standards they set for us. You meet a deadline, or they won't even consider your application. Yet they can get back to you .... whenever they feel like it. I got an email that yes, they've received my application but have such a tremendous amount of applicants that it's going to take them a lot longer to decide. I should know in about 10 weeks. *!@#

I wonder if the graduate school can see the timestamps from the daily checks I do to the application page.
They're likely laughing, thinking the poor person doesn't realize we aren't going to get back to her for another month yet.

Excellent topic, congrats !!
I believe I am the granpa here.. I am 40+ ( ouch!) and applying for Masters in Counselling ( Education) in Canada. I already have a MA , a PhD and even a postdoc but this is a carrer change moment for me. Does anyone think that us " oldies" have this going against us or for us?
I'm older too, and applying for my MSW. One of my references said the life sciences would likely view this as an asset, as you have life experiences and maturity/experience is always an asset in these professions. Here's hoping the applications committee sees it that way for us!

One of the universities I applied to doesn't even have the application w/chance of funding deadline until March 1st. Which means they probably don't even start looking until then and many had today as the deadline I thought late deadlines were kind of cool until now
I've also applied to a school with deadline in the March. I'm hoping that the fact they do rolling admissions means I'll hear before then.

CONGRATULATIONS!
So nice to hear some programs in Canada already giving out offers! I've been watching US schools giving out offers and lowkey jealous.
Impressive. I'm high-key jealous.

I'm also feeling the frustration. It'd be nice to know what's going on. Or when they call to say they'll let you know by the end of February, you still wouldn't be left wondering in early March.
