You are not the only one! I asked awhile ago in this thread if anybody could claim it and nobody did (to my recollection).
I can claim it, and I'm going to decline it. Hope this helps (AOI: phil of lang)

Just out of curiosity, what's the appeal of UCLA, Oxford, and MIT if you've got offers from Rutgers and USC? Given your AOI, it seems like eliminating those others would be a no-brainer.
I'm not sure I agree Rutgers and USC are so much better than UCLA, Oxford and MIT phil-of-lang-wise that I can eliminate the latter easily, although the former are higher on my list at the moment. Also, although my AOI is obviously a very important factor in choosing a grad school, there are other factors that play a role in my decision, such as the graduate program, the other strengths of the department and the placement record.

I found out about my acceptance to Ohio State by checking the online portal a day or two before receiving an email from the department.

That's incredible! Congrats. Again, if I may, what was your sample on?
Thanks!
I argued that Stalnaker's solution to the problem of deduction in Inquiry seems plausible only when it is kept ambiguous between semantic and syntactic readings. I also tried to show that such ambiguity is kind of pervasive, and that Field's conception of mental content and Priest's conception of impossible worlds suffer from similar problems.

If I may, where do you plan on going?
I don't know yet. I have offers from Rutgers, USC, UCLA and Oxford, and I'm on MIT's waitlist.
-
I declined offers from Ohio State, Northwestern, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Yale, Princeton, Harvard and Michigan, and I removed myself from Columbia's waitlist.
My AOI is phil of langauge.

Really?!! Where did you hear that from? I've been checking the decisions for the past years and they all heard back around Mar. 5-8
From a faculty member.

What are your areas of interest? Northwestern admits students off waitlist based on areas of interest.
Philosophy of language.

I declined offers from Northwestern and Toronto. Good luck to those on the waitlists!

What's your AOI? They informed me that they organize their wait list by AOI. So just curious if we have the same. (I'm on the wait list.)
Philosophy of language. Good luck!

Yeah anybody knew anything about the (alleged) UCLA offer?
This seems to be pretty suspicious as UCLA used to email offers in mid-Fed (at the very earliest), also, I got an email saying that there was a discrepancy in my application a couple of weeks ago and another one telling me I didn't need to do anything a few days ago. I was shocked by the inefficiency of this institution and I did not expect such early acceptances...
Also my TOEFL score has not been received. I sent it to them in early November.
But these are just my words, congrats to whoever is admitted though.
Are you sure your score has not be received? Did you ask them, or are you just relying on what their website says? Because their website is kind of unreliable. I have an email from their grad and undergrad advisor saying my scores have been received, but the website still says the opposite.

Sorry I didn't answer earlier. I didn't notice your question.
