Received an offer of admission to University of Calgary 2- year (non BSW) clinical specialization MSW!!!! Had finally accepted that waitlist wasn't moving but I'm so over the moon!!

I agree the transparency with decisions was not there. I got my email that I was waitlisted for the 2 year but already had to make some bigger life decisions so don't even know if I'd be in a position to go regardless.

Did you call them and hear that we would definitely know this week? I'm so over this!!

AHHHH this is so frustrating. I was starting to finally settle with the idea that I was for sure not accepted and now there's a glimmer of hope!! I just want the wait to be over!

Me too! I applied for the course-based foundation MSW. Like Meemoo said, they aim to have everyone notified end of March. Still seems so far away

Applying to the 2-year calgary clinical. Going with a 3.7 in my last 60units and about 3600 hours directly in human services field. I went kind of vulnerable on my study plan with my personal reasons for picking my area of interest.... hoping this doesn't backfire but hey it's the truth. If the 1 year clinical won't hear back until mid march I really hope the foundational year people (AKA me lol) don't have to wait even longer!!

Ya I followed the order they suggested as well. I tried to make mine flow well and answer all the aspects they were looking for. Calgary is the only school I applied to and since I have to do the 2 year program I didn't want to move. I hope they sort through applications quick. All they said was they hope to have everyone notified by end of march.... I need to plan my life I feel like I'm in limbo a bit waiting to hear haha

Hi applied to the 2-year clinical focus at U of Calgary. The 'study plan' was super broad. I applied super last minute so had to write/edit mine in two days. How many outside references did you use and how did you work them in? I tried to make it sound organic to the rest of my statement but felt like it ended up thrown in to make the requirement......... UG there's only 30 seats for the 2018 foundational yearl so I'm super nervous.
