Hey all! I was accepted to Fordham... anyone heading there? I haven’t accepted yet; I’ve only received info on a merit scholarship, no actual aid package yet. Freaking out over the price tag just a bit...

I seriously hope *everyone* who applied at the priority deadline hears back this week!

Hi! I was just accepted to Fordham for fall! Still waiting to hear back from two other schools... I also got a small merit scholarship!

I def can’t do campus housing b/c I have a cat. I really love the vibes in Astoria/Long Island City... it’s a commute, but the $$$ is so much less. next board: people all across the country trying to find places to live and roommates!

So, I’m unsure of how old you are. I’m 37. There’s some things I can promise you. There will never be enough money. There will never be enough time. Hard work and sacrifice do not always reap rewards. Life never goes according to plan. There will always be curve balls. Some of them will be awful. You only get one life. Make it the life you want to live, not the one you exist in. My dreams have been on hold for 14 years. I’m going to pay through the nose to get the education, career, and city I want. But I suspect it’s going to be very sweet once I get there.

I have until April 13th to let Fordham know... I suppose I can ask for an extension... but dang, the relief!

So I applied to Fordham two weeks after Columbia and already heard back ? Glad to know I’m off to school somewhere next year! Hopefully Columbia will start sending out more notices soon!

You guys. I just got my “application complete” email ? I’ll just settle back and congratulate patientlywaiting2!!!

Get on some of those things you’ve been putting off! Clean out your closet. Scan in all the family pictures to the cloud. Read a book you’ve been meaning to read. Have nightly pajama dance party in your living room!

Insert soothing noises and a nice cup of tea/coffee. You got this! Send out positive vibes into the world. The wheels are in motion; don’t add anxiety to it! Think about all the great things you can do in the next 5-7 weeks instead of feeling anxious.

2/15... I had a “what are you waiting for” moment & grabbed it! So I’m just hanging around here, ready to make soothing noises and give encouragement to all the priority peeps who are still waiting!

2 year, residential, mental health! I love teaching & the kids... I don’t love being exhausted all the time, having to do most of my work after hours, never having time or energy to do volunteer work, and I especially don’t love the culture of testing. I make fewer connections with my students every year My stats are no where near as impressive as you guys - my mom had cancer when I was in undergrad, so I was driving home a lot and my GPA was less than amazing. I hope all these years in the work force can make up for that!

LOL another English major here! But I’m a career-changer; I’ve been teaching for the last 13 years.

Same... 2 year residential, clinical, mental health. I applied 2/15, so I was banking on not hearing back before April (and haven’t heard).
