  1. I also applied but have already decided on a program.. (especially as Hunter is deciding so late in the game). I have heard that it is REALLY intense lasting even 2-3 hours. I have also heard from my professors that they really want you to know your stuff about diversity. Sometimes there may be a written portion regarding certain situations. I don't mean to stress you out but I want you to get an idea of what you should expect. I assume if you are in this field you have the aptitude to discuss diversity, just speak with conviction and passion.
  2. Hi everyone! So I recently asked my top school to match my financial aid offer for a separate school. My top awarded me 16k per year and the other school offered me 20k per year. They said they would definitely reevaluate my offer but I am nervous. Would they take away funding? I mentioned I was so grateful (which I am) but that extra 4k per year would definitely help.
  3. I have a separate tab for my financial award on the portal which I also noticed before my acceptance e-mail! It wasn't included in the e-mail and I did not receive the letter yet!
  4. Yup, this section for me says "congratulations on being accepted", I think it appeared close in proximity to my e-mail.
  5. I originally wanted to be a clinical psychologist but the field is just way too competitive. Over time I also realized I really don't like research THAT much and would dread the thought of doing it every day. I would much rather go into a clinical practice.
  6. I applied to the 2 year full time program! I'm assuming they're doing prioritizing advanced, then 2-year, then so on.
  7. Sure! Please just don't measure yourself up to it! I may have a good packet but I definitely missed out a lot on college experiences and getting to truly enjoy myself (I've been stressed out my four years!) The only thing it really helped me with was securing aid which I couldn't afford without. GPA: 3.92 double majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice and am at the top 10% of my graduating class. I did not take the GRE. I've had two internships in working with sexual assault and domestic violence victims. I was a teacher's assistant for a class and I also have an on campus job. I'm President of my college's LGBTQ+ club and have been extremely active in the college community and working with administration around LGBTQ issues. I also identify as LGBTQ which may have leaned in my favor. I have done Psychology research my past four years at my institution and secured a highly competitive fellowship at Duke University.. one of my recommendations was from there. In general, I had really glowing reccs and a well written personal statement that I agonized over for several months.
  8. I was accepted as well! I was notified at 1AM this morning!! I am not attending however.
  9. Thank you so much!! I would’ve loved to go to either but fortunately my boyfriend got a job near Philly so it’s so much cheaper to live with him. Hang in there, you’ll find your home!
  10. I’m so sorry to hear that. BU gave me 20k in scholarship, but I am declining so I’m hoping it will go to you or someone else!!
  11. BU emailed me at 1AM and BC emailed me at 11AM.
  12. Hi everyone! Just wanted to share I got accepted to BU and BC this morning! Officially choosing UPENN as I received the highest award!
  13. also by MAIL? I was told over and over it would be by e-mail. This is really cutting it close. At this point I'm planning on accepting a different program but am still curious on my acceptances from BC and BU.
  14. So I totally just realized I never submitted my Financial Aid Application to BC... but i did submit my FAFSA. Was I supposed to submit the application before acceptance?
