    Thanks, AH. That's really helpful. I'm gonna talk to my prof about and maybe make a move. I'm definitely grateful for the 20K, and I might end up with more scholarships through my undergraduate program, so I consider myself very lucky!

    WowWow, Congratulations! Thanks for sharing, I'd like to negotiate with Pratt for more funding. They gave me 20K. I'm curious to know how you approached that if you'd be willing to share? I am still waiting to hear back from my prof/recommender who has connections to Pratt to see what she thinks. I think your housing plan sounds reasonable. It'll be better to get the lay of the land and then make an informed decision. I talked to some students while I was there for a tour in the fall, and some of them had pretty reasonable rents (I'm from an expensive city and am used to insane prices already, so I might be biased:))

    I'm sure either school would be a great experience, so if RISD ends up being more affordable, sounds like you should go for it! Let us know what happens!

    Thanks! I would like to, but I was hoping for a higher scholarship offer. My prof is an alumnus of the program, I might ask her what she thinks about asking for a better offer... I think she mentioned that was a possibility. You're going, right?

    Sweet relief! Pratt just called me with an acceptance offer and a 20,000 merit scholarship! There's still hope for other people who are waiting!

    Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your acceptance! I interviewed the week after you, and haven't heard anything. Probably won't attend without a scholarship offer. I guess you never know how things will shake out.

    Cool, mine was the week before yours. I've been wondering if Pratt does their acceptances so late because by now a lot of applicants may have accepted other offers, and they'll know who's really serious about getting into the program... maybe less of an administrative nightmare for such a large program?     Good luck! They are really friendly and are not trying to grill you. Think they just want to get to know you and get a sense of whether you are a good fit for the program.

    Congratulations! I interviewed with Pratt today and think it went well. Hoping for a similar offer. So excited to hear they got back to you with an acceptance offer so quickly, can't wait for the pain of waiting to be finally over!
