  1. I received my rejection already (West Coaster). I am amazed it made it through, not even in the spam box!
  2. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if I still don't get an email tomorrow regardless of if they go out. It would be par for the course.
  3. I sent them an email describing my experience. It seems highly unlikely that it will impact my application this year (my guess is that it has already been thrown out). However, I hope that it will improve their process for next year.
  4. Hi everyone, I just received this as an answer to my inquiry about the March 16 notification: Thanks for reaching out! Our apologies for any confusion. We anticipate making notifications to those selected and those not selected by the end of next week. Please follow up with us the following Monday should you not receive an email. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. Of course, I think I have figured out why I never received the notification. I never received a link to forward to my references and, therefore, never had any letters submitted. Back when I submitted my application (which was fairly early), I had no idea that they would not be sent directly to our letter writers. Oh well.
  5. At this stage, I am assuming they threw my application out and that is why I have not heard anything. If not, then I will be pleasantly surprised.
  6. I feel strangely zen about it. Of course, I am eager to know the result, but I know that (at this stage, at least) it is not a make-or-break for me. Naturally, I realize that not all of us are in the same situation. I think part of it comes from being an undergrad applicant. There is always next year and I have already identified some more fellowships to which I will apply next year (assuming that I am not awarded).
  7. I would be surprised if awards are not announced by Friday. Especially, if it goes beyond next Tuesday, since it appears that would be the latest announcement of this century.
  8. I received the January email, but nothing in March as well. I tried emailing them, but have received no reply. I think perhaps that I messed up my application somehow and it was thrown out.
  9. Well, if they are keeping with the traditional Tuesday or Friday, then it could be Friday, April 6th. I believe it will likely be sometime this week as most admission acceptance deadlines are the 15th. Going back to 2009, the absolute latest it has been released has been on a Friday, April 10th, 2009. So, April 10th is a possibility, but I think they will get it out before then.
