Yes, I hear that. But I think it's a lot easier said than done. Especially for someone like myself who doesn't have tons/any exp. with any challenging/specific techniques--e-phys for instance.

Hello, long time lurker here, finally fed up with looking at the same posts over and over again, so figured I might as well shoot my own shot: I've had my heart set on pursuing a Ph.d in neuro for a long time now, but my research exp. coming from a small liberal arts school and community college, has always been pretty lacking. For this reason I took what i deemed an L and went off to a masters program--NOT funded. Now I have been learning about these post-bac programs and they honestly seem to be a heck of a lot more credible than most MS programs for pumping out Ph.d candidates; espescially in terms of giving these individuals solid research background/exp. ANYWAYS, is it too late to apply to the NIH post bac programs? Would not being able to start until August or September eliminate my chances? Please excuse my typo's***
