  1. I've just rejected a offer today in favor of a school that wait-listed me. Do you think it's worth emailing them that? Could that have an effect on my application?
  2. I've gotten one acceptance at a good school in my field but I'm not sure I want to go because the location/weather is less than ideal and its not a place with many job prospects for my SO. I'm currently on a wait-list for another school in a perfect location for my SO and I. The wait is killing me and I don't know if I'm giving up on a opportunity that could potentially be great for my career. Should I go job hunting and reapply next year or stick it out at a good school where I may not be happy?
  3. Don't lose hope! My friend who applied for the 2017 cycle got accepted into some really great schools such as MIT and oxford but didn't hear back until Mid January - March. We got this!
  4. I'm waiting on those schools myself! There's a separate Pharmacology thread and someone in it got an interview from UPenn already
  5. On their website under Admission > General applicant information it says: Financial Aid Funds are available for the full support of graduate training for Ph.D. students. Students are supported with annual stipends of $32,250, as well as full tuition remission and health insurance. Stipend support is made possible by funds from federally funded research grants and fellowships, the NIGMS Training Grant in Biomolecular Pharmacology, and support from the pharmaceutical industry. Financial aid is also available for students who are members of minority groups through NIH grant supplements.
  6. Thank you for the encouragement! I actually submitted mine Nov 30th so it wasn't too close to their deadline. I really hope they send out more In case anyone wanted to know, Minnesota Pharmacology sent out invitations on Dec 10th but from previous years I think they will continue sending them out!
  7. Hey all! Congratulations on your interviews! I was wondering if anyone knew when Boston university would stop sending invitations to interviews? I haven’t heard from them yet and am getting nervous
