Same here! I scheduled a meeting with my advisor to do a mock interview so I know what to expect ??
-
I got a Skype interview for UCSB!
-
I also applied to Montclair. DM for initials

I honestly think you should present yourself as naturally as possible. Be you. I know I'm going to do that, yeah I'm a guy, but catch me wearing my earrings with my suits with colorful patterns. I think being you is the best you can do. Stand out.

Had the same issue with Texas tech!
-
If you look on here there's a page for results. You can check out when people found out last year and then consider it around that time. I've been looking for all my schools so I have an idea and am not too anxious when it's tomorrow and I haven't heard ??

All of my recs are finally done! Now I just wait...
-
You should still be able to upload them on the website though. If not send them to the graduate coordinator
-
I have also had big problems with Auburn and had to call them and I was told they will review the unofficial if the official is not yet in.
-
Some of my recommenders have done the recommendations and the system is not registering their upload and truly it is giving me more anxiety than I need right now
-
Definitely what I have done and hoping it can be remedied.
-
So many of my schools now want official transcripts uploaded when their instructions before submission said unofficial it’s impossible to get official transcripts by Sunday. Truly hoping they will accept unofficial for my admissions evaluations. Just when you thought it couldn’t get anymore stressful?
-
All of my mentors have said double spaced.
-
I'm planning to submit them all before Wednesday night so I can "relax" even though that won't be the case. Almost half are submitted this far!
-
I haven't applied for FAFSA because all they can really give are loans for graduate school. I'll probably apply for it if I get interviews.
-
Yeah what is that? In regards to stipend some places it's very easy to live on others it requires a lot of budgeting and roommates. It's definitely possible though!
-
I definitely don't think you're making excuses. The cards dealt to you just weren't the best. I also go to a small liberal arts college but we have a ton of active research but you offset me with great GRE scores and a much better GPA. Frame it as perserverence and I think anyone reading it would be impressed. Also PM me which liberal arts. Just curious lol but I know you DEFINITELY have a chance

I haven’t written anything in a while so I’m just using a year old research paper since I have nothing more recent. I’m hoping it’s not very important considering I have manuscripts in preparation also.
-
Lol I’m trying to be a little optimistic
-
The majority of my programs are counseling and they all require me to indicate faculty members.
-
Mine is very personal describing myself as a minority who isn't usually able to even be able to apply to programs like this which has been received by multiple mentors as incredibly persuasive and interesting. I've been advised not to just recite my CV but to humanize myself and include the research interests and clinical experiences.

How wild is it that these applications are due in less than two weeks? I'm planning to submit them all next Wednesday so Thanksgiving is all relaxation, but I'm not currently prepared to let the universe do its thing.
-
Honestly I couldn't agree more!
-
I'm taking it as a sign that maybe not as many people are applying. But that could be me just hoping for the best. These applications are brutal though especially in addition to taking all my classes and doing research.

I would still send the email but word it differently. Mention that you read the website and that you just wanted to know if you should apply due to your interests and whether the mentor thinks your interests will align with the labs.
