Depends on the school. Some don't send rejections until people are done accepting offers. Others do before Interview offers go out.

It seems hope can still be had though since they say they consider all apps until you're rejected and some have been rejected already

You have a point, but I'm still waiting on my top programs and as a low income student I've had to try to wait on all programs before saying I can come because I can only afford a few flights. I never ever thought I would be in a situation with multiple interviews. But I'm holding out hope for you too!

It would be so nice if all programs would be clear about when invites would go out. Sitting here stressing is making me so anxious!

Most of mine also don't have tenure because I'm interested in a new field of research which is mainly done by the new wave of professors. Nobody has ever said anything about being cautious about it. If that professor is your source of funding I would be worried. If the program is funding you it's fine.

Honestly my thoughts all day. I actually received one on Saturday two weeks ago so it is possible, but I think unlikely. I just know some of my programs haven't sent out results yet even though they said they would before break so now I'm just stuck.

I've received five interviews and they have all come around the end of the work day (5pm) for the various schools.

Remember that it is OKAY to ask about funding at the programs you have interviews at. This is something my advisor reiterated to me today which has helped me start narrowing down places to spend money and fly to!

That's what I'm doing with just a few important points I know I want to touch on overall. Everything else will just be natural.

I was told by my advisor to think about stating research interests, mentorship you're looking for, what you want to be, and what you're looking for in a and that program. Mostly everything you put in your personal statement but with your own style instead of on a piece of paper

Hasn't been answered yet and great question. Also would love an answer to this because I have a preliminary interview this week.
