Just received rejection email from Cornell. Acceptances soon?

I wrote "enganglement" in my Stanford SoP. I'm sure they had a good laugh while throwing my application in the rejection dumpster. Seriously though, I had a typo in my Chicago SoP, and it didn't seem to matter at all; mistakes happen. Still, "enganglement" ??????

This was my initial impression, but I read some conflicting information and wanted to clarify to make sure I wasn't missing out on an expected (but apparently not so much) part of the process. Thanks!

So if I'm reading this correctly, it is common/appropriate to contact programs about funding, if you are debating between different offers? That is, school X is offering me more than school Z, but I'm more interested in school Z and should therefore try to negotiate with them (not as a money grab but more of a "I don't know if I can live on that" kind of difference)? Forgive my ignorance!

Congrats, you're having a phenomenal season! Do you have a favorite?

It's all very bizarre. Surreal. I'm not terribly elated. More terrified than anything. Of course, very happy.

Yes lol! I'd like to think that my interviewers understood that, but I'm sure I didn't answer as competently as they had hoped.

I understand your horror. I experienced some of that in my Chicago interview. And, considering who was interviewing me, I was petrified.

Looks like Ohio State updated the application portals with acceptances. I'm in, unless their system made a severe error.

I'm sure they're not attempting to interview all candidates. Maybe sending a mass Doodle poll to all candidates was easier than compiling a new email list of candidates they actually plan on interviewing? Or it could be a short list like Dilby suggests. The most confusing part is "The department will not be able to interview all of the candidates at this round of the admissions process, so not all of you will receive a request for an interview." Either way, it sounds like they plan on interviewing quite a lot of people.

Myself and a buddy both received the email as well. The language seems to suggest that it was sent to all candidates?
