Thanks for the above suggestions. I’m in need of some advice concerning visit days/decisions. I applied to four schools, as of now, 2a/1r and waiting to hear from the last. Both of the schools I have been accepted to are having their visit days on the same day. I have already booked travel to one school (A) that I feel is the most likely the best fit for me. The other school (B) has said I can visit anytime and that they’d work with me to plan the visit. But as of now, I’m finding it difficult to schedule a time that works for myself and the school. For some reason, even though school A seems like the best fit, I’m finding it hard to officially decide to go there without seeing the other program in person. Is this realistic? I know I have until April 15th to decide, but I’m not sure if I should wait until a visit to school B (potentially end of March) to ensure my decision. Not sure if all of this is clear. But I’m a little hung up on the possibility of not visiting the schools I’ve been accepted to, and therefore not getting the opportunity to make the best possible decision. Any advice?

I had done the same thing...went back to last years’ results and saw that my top choice started sending their first acceptances the third week of January. Panic mode began. Then someone posted they were accepted last Monday. I got this sinking feeling that would not leave. Checked email constantly. I was actually annoying myself with how often I was checking my phone. Then, on a Wednesday, the email came that a decision had been made and to check the portal. I thought for sure it would be bad news. It wasn’t! Instant relief. I feel so lucky to have an acceptance this early in the game. I hope everyone finds a way to deal with the anxiety while waiting it out. Good luck everyone.

I got my acceptance to UNC today. Not sure that you need to worry about a formal interview. I had reached out to a professor in Sept. and she called me to discuss my research interests the next week. It was very informal. I hadn’t had any requests for a formal interview. Good luck to you, keeping my fingers crossed!
