I am going on a hunger strike in relatively-quiet protest of how this whole MFA application process is making me feel. ?

The only thing I found was this: https://professionals.collegeboard.org/guidance/applications/ethics Basically, they say it is acceptable only when you are waiting to hear back from other schools (as you are), and I would have to agree. If you do decide to cancel your acceptance and accept a second offer, I would just let the first school know ASAP so that someone else has a chance to take your spot. Honestly, these different programs should try to figure out a universal timeline so that this is not even an issue. Best of luck.

It certainly does not bode well for Columbia, especially considering their tuition cost.

VCU says notifications for interviews go out late Feb with acceptance decisions going out in early April, so you probably have some time to wait.

So how have we all been staying sane during the waiting process?

I recently spoke to someone who was still waiting on Hunter. Not sure about the others though.

So either they fell behind for some reason or they are hoping to get more applicants.

Everything I have heard about Yale MFA is that they do not want you straight out of undergrad—this comes from my past instructors with Yale MFAs and also people on here that are repeating what they allegedly heard at open houses for Yale. So, don’t take it too bad that you did not get in.

@jailcowboy Off the top of my head, maybe they had different needs this year.
