Hello!
I am an International applicant to the Fall 2019 (Michaelmas) PhD programme in Ethnomusicology at the Department of Music, University of Cambridge.
Thought of creating this thread to connect with other applicants to the program.
I will be happy to answer any question related to the application and/or interview process.
Cheers!
A very expected rejection came my way from UChicago. I am an international applicant, with no TOEFL and I blew it at the interviews. It was the worst interview of my life...
?
I can actually feel the searing eyes of application abyss peering into my soul...
But we are all in this together. And I am sure good news will come knocking to our doors very, very soon~Rumi
I was interviewed by Cambridge on 22 January and by Chicago on 28. Haven't heard back anything yet, except that Chicago will release decisions by end of this week or early next week.
Fingers crossed for Columbia then...if there is still hope that is...
Have you applied to UCLA?
Has anyone heard back from CUNY, Cambridge and/or Columbia Ethnomusicology?
Apologies for spamming, but I am currently staring into a deep, dark application abyss...
Oh great. And thanks @Musica The gsas did send out a generic email pretty early on asking for foreign language proficiency details...but I am guessing you are not talking about that...also, have you applied to the Ethnomusicology program?
Hi
Is anyone aware of any Harvard Ethnomusicology admit offers or acceptances, yet?
Also, how does Harvard Music usually carry out their admission process? They don't usually interview potential candidates, do they?
Looking forward!
Thanks
