I have had my interview today, and I was contacted last week. This confirms that each lab has a different schedule as far as selection of candidates and interviewing go.
The deadline is on Jan 25th, and usually they contact people within 4-6 weeks from the deadline. I know a person that has been contacted already. Personally I haven't received any response yet.
Good luck on the interview! I think it largely depends on the lab and on the different projects they have. Multiple interviews are actually normal and a good sign that they're actually interested in having you work on the project.
Let us know how it goes!
I applied for the Security & Cryptography lab. But I guess you're right, I don't see how anyone would be accepted without having set up an interview first.
Thanks for the heads-up. That's what I figured too, although I've read in a different thread here that in the past years people were accepted without an interview too.
Anyway, whatever the outcome, I wish you guys a great experience ?.
I haven't received anything just yet. The website confirms the decision acceptance as being communicated around 1st March to all applicants by e-mail.
I'm honestly starting to lose hope. Does anyone know whether an interview is required before being accepted? I mean, if I haven't received an interview
invitation, does that mean I don't have any chance of being accepted?
