  1. Can you DM your PI please?
  2. May I ask what were your GRE scores and research experience? If you don’t mind sharing
  3. I only applied for two programs in my city!!! (Meaning chances are low this year).
  4. I think this would be mainly for universities like UF where the deadline is November 1st, etc. We shouldn’t be hearing until after December 1st I believe. Fingers crossed it’ll be good news for everyone.
  5. I was only able to apply for those 2 actually since I didn’t want to leave my family behind.
  6. Thank you Schy for bringing in hope!?my research and clinical experience does match my selected mentor’s interests highly so it is good to hear that.
  7. It doesn’t state cutoff specifically but they say the average scores around 149-155. And my scores are below this average.
  8. Hi guys! It’s my first time applying to programs in PhD Clinical Psychology. I will only be applying for schools in Florida (first choices are UM and FIU). I have 2 years of research experience (1 poster but a lot of clinical skills and managing data from several programs). I also conducted a seminar once on a presentation related to my research interests. My GPA is 3.91 and GRE is very very very low. So I’m worried about my GRE not letting me pass the cutoffs. However, I have 3 strong letters of recommendation.
  9. I have emailed all my POI’s. The ones in UM did not reply to the emails (but at least I did a brief yet informative email about my research interests) and my research and experience really aligns with theirs, so I’m hoping they do review my application besides of my GRE. I have strong letters of recommendation and for the FIU program I know personally the POI’s and am working under their lab currently.
  10. Hello everyone! I am just completing the application process. As of now, I’m just waiting for recommenders to upload their letters. I’m only applying to two school for now (I don’t want to leave my city): UMiami and Florida International University. Both have good solid clinical psych programs, however, I have low GRE scores... like very low. My GPA is 3.91 and I have extensive clinical and research experience, but I’m worried about not passing the cutoff because of the GRE.
  11. Hello everyone! I am a recent alumni since I just graduated with my Bachelor's in Psychology and looking into PhD Clinical Psychology programs. The universities I've selected to apply are: Northwestern University, University of Florida, Florida State University, University of Miami, Fordham University, Stony Brook, Pennsylvania State University, University at Buffalo, and UCLA. I graduated with a GPA of 3.91 and I have extensive clinical experience since I have been involved for two consecutive semesters in treatment programs and evaluating/administering assessments on the population I want to do research on, which is children with ADHD. I have not taken the GRE yet, but plan to do so in September so I have enough time to prepare for it. However, as for research experience, I am currently on almost my 2nd year as a research assistant that I have been part of for 4 different labs, but have only been able to contribute to 1 poster where I was not leading it, which is my weak point. Opinions? Comments? Suggestions? For those that were accepted and/or offered an interview at any university I have mentioned please comment here or DM me! I could really help some guidance in this process.
