  1. I finally settled in what I want to do after my undergrad degree which is a masters in counselling. After numerous hours of research trying to find a silver lining in this dire situation of mine, I finally accepted the fact that my inadequate GPA (3.2) and lack of research lab experience is not competitive enough to join this race. What I do have is 400 hours of experience working with people living with disabilities (physical, cognitive, and psychiatric) and another 400 hours to be completed this coming school year (my 5th year in psychology). Alongside completing the additional 400 hours this coming september-april, I will also be completing required courses to finish my program. Basically, I want to retake some courses that I didn't do so well in, take other courses to bump my GPA, and gain more research experience. My 5th year is already swamped with things I need to do, therefore I will need a sixth year to accomplish the abovementioned. In conjunction with the shame of needing a sixth year, I am worried whether needing six years to complete my undegrad will have any effects on my chances of getting into masters in counselling in Canada? Any tips or insight will help this stressed avocado. (Additional info if necessary: After my degree, I'm hoping to apply to MA (ED) counselling psychology in University of Ottawa, but beggars can't be choosers)
