  1. I received a small scholarship and $20k for grad loans! I will have to request additional loans to cover the rest.
  2. Oh my gosh!! Mine came to my spam box as well. Thank you so much!
  3. What was the title of the email, or the email address it came through?
  4. Thanks for the candid and honest post! So here’s my honest response - take it with a grain of salt. So I have read in the past of success stories of candidates getting into top programs with a 2.5+. Actually some programs do not have a GPA requirement, however a 3.0 is encouraged. In those success stories I have read - the applicants did submit GRE scores to show academic aptitude in some way, (the school needs to know you can complete the program). I don’t think they‘d turn down applicants solely based on GPA, however it is a huge factor if one doesn’t have other areas they can showcase their ability on (research, experience, professional, volunteer, etc). Also - this is where your SOP, professional experience, and LOR’s need to be absolutely solid to help you get in some top 20 programs. If you can use your professional experience as an initial gateway for social work and somehow convey that, and what skills are transferrable, you’ll have a decent chance. I am unsure if it’s enough just to say you have consulting experience without adding value to those skills you’ve gained and how it would help you be a good social worker! I think your volunteer service will come in handy here - and be sure to tie that into your SOP. Also if your last 60 credits are higher than a 3.0 that may help you significantly. It shows an upward Trend. Good Luck!
  5. Congratulations!! Should be uber proud of yourself.
  6. YESSSSSS! Congrats! I hope you celebrate tonight!
  7. Thank you - that's so sweet!! Hahah It's been a really great cycle and I am hoping for the best for everyone!
  8. I KNOW YOU GOT IT, give it a few minutes!!! That is exactly what mine said when I got in. IM soooooooooooooooooooo excited for you!! Maybe close it for a bit and return in a hour.
  9. GIRL I am pretty sure that means you got IN!!!!!!! THATS WHAT MINE LOOKED LIKE!!! GIVE IT 5 minutes until 5pm ET!
  10. Mine says the status as "awaiting" and the details are "official final transcript for xxxxxx" 5PM ET is in 5 minutes!! Maybe you will get the update then!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. MINE SAID THAT WHEN I GOT IN!!!!! When they accept you into the program - they ask for the final transcript!
  12. Ah. I can understand the anxiety, this thread is probably not helping then. I know for myself I applied in Earlyyyyyyyyyyyyy Nov for alot of the programs, so it makes sense why I've heard back. I am sure everyone will know their decisions by Mid Feb for the Majority. I remember you have great stats, so you really are pretty much set! Just waiting is the WORST....................
  13. Gotcha. I am curious to see, it is my dream school and would be helpful to know how can I swing the costs. One of my good friends graduated from there and was able to pay all her debt off within a couple years. I HAVE NO IDEA how. I think actually just from opening a private practice.
  14. Ahh gotcha! Good Luck! I ended up cancelling my video interview. Have you heard back from any schools yet?
  15. Gotcha. To my understanding, once your application is complete on file, they send an email to ask you to call them and schedule the interview. It's for every candidate. "According to our records, your application to the MSW Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy & Practice (SP2) is now complete. The next step in the admissions process is an application interview, which we would like to schedule soon. To arrange a time and date for your interview, please call our Admissions Office at (215) 746-1934 at any point between 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM (Eastern Time) on Mondays through Fridays. A member of our admissions team will help you schedule your interview, which will be conducted in person or via Zoom video chat."
  16. Hahahahahaahah. That is a great strategy. Do you know if they offer a lot? I couldn't gather much from my past years threads.
  17. I applied 12/19 and they emailed me to schedule my interview on 12/20. Did the email go to your spam?? They should of got back to you by now, I would call if I were you.
  18. Same! I want to submit my deposit, but just waiting to see if I got scholarships first!!
  19. AHH! I still have not received my financial aid award, did this come by email or via portal?? Did they offer scholarships?
  20. I heard back 1/16 from CU, which I believe was the first day of released decisions.
  21. A friend of mine was rejected the first time by UC, applied the second year and got in! So you totally encouraged to apply again if you have more experience. It also depends on the pool of candidates you were applying against the first time around. I think you should definitely go for it!
