I emailed them 2.5 weeks ago and they said they were aiming to have decisions out by the end of last week-- but that was before everywhere was affected by COVID-19. I was the waitlisted person. You could email Dr. Chapman.

More great news's today! I received notice from UB that I won a "presidential" fellowship which bestows me a an extra 8k stipend for a total of 28k per academic year! I am in disbelief and so grateful! 

Happy to report that today I received my first acceptance from the University at Buffalo! Was notified via email, and just waiting in the official acceptance letter. Still waiting on Case Western. 

Rejected (SW & Sociology). To others that got rejected, it’s their loss! The program is very competitive and just because you didn’t get in doesn’t mean you aren’t a competitive applicant. UM doesn’t determine our worth. I may sound clichè, but it’s what I’m telling myself!

I was accepted to MSU, Case Western, and U Pittsburgh. Rejected from WashU. I have a few more that I'm waiting to hear from but they are all really pie-in-the-sky for me so not expecting anything. I'd be happy to attend any of the 3 I got into though so feeling really lucky  and not looking forward to having to choose soon.

I was accepted to Michigan State on Monday! An official offer letter will be coming mid-February, but it is 5 years of guaranteed funding, which is sweet! 
I also received an interview invitation from the University of Denver on Monday. My interview is next Friday. Hope others are receiving some good news this week or in the near future! 

I just got my first acceptance too! MSU. Rejected from Washington last week (boo) but also had a super promising interview with a potential advisor at U Pitt that I'm kind of thrilled about and really hoping it pans out. excited to hear from everyone about all these acceptances and interviews! 

I received an email saying I got a phone interview with Case Western on 1/20! Very happy! 
 

I heard back from my first program today - I've been accepted at Ohio State University! 
How's the process going for all of you? Any news?

From what I've been told, it seems like the GRE will be the aspect of your application that has the least effect on whether you'll be admitted. It seems like you have some great research experience and your publications, SOP and letters of recommendation will all strengthen your application. I know that it can be easy to get caught up in feeling like an impostor while you wait and wait and wait to hear back from these programs, but every applicant will have weaknesses and a less-than-great score on 1 section of the GRE does not sound like a major weakness to me.
