  1. ok wait that is actually very nice haha, and humanizing is a good way to out it! It makes it seem like they considered you as a person and not just some stats on paper. Thanks for sharing!!
  2. Out of curiosity, what is considered a nice rejection letter? lol I just received my first one (and no acceptances so far) so would like to know how nice it is... seemed generic, but I guess it could be worse?
  3. Got rejected from Dal! Generic letter dated Feb 7th! It sucks but nice to finally know...
  4. Based on what I've heard i.e., people applying for many years before they get in, or applying to up to 14 schools at a time and only getting into 1 or a few... I would apply to more if you are able to attend somewhere other than Waterloo! I applied to 4 (non-BSW) and I think I'll be lucky if I get into 1 just based on competition and the number of applicants!! I would go through a lot of these forums! I found some helpful info recently that I wish I found while I was completing my applications. Good luck
  5. Has anyone heard from Dalhousie? Does anyone know if they send out acceptances in waves? by east coast to west coast?? alphabetically??? I saw that people received acceptances over a few days last week. Getting more nervous each day!!
  6. Hi! I applied to Dal for MSW and I've been looking for someone in the same boat as me with their portal!!! I applied at the end of November and it still says they haven't received one of my references even though it was submitted (confirmed by the e-ref department)!! Curious though- does your application say, "incomplete items outstanding", and decision, "written notification to follow"?? Thanks SLP friends & good luck!!!
  7. Ok this is great information!! I applied in Canada and it seems like it could be a similar process... I've seen a few acceptances for a specific program I've been waiting to hear back from and I haven't received an answer yet. I assumed that meant rejection or waitlist but now maybe not!! Having to wait for others to decline to move up on the list will take so long though- all the other Canadian programs won't be sending out offers for minimum another 2 weeks! I just might explode from the anxiety by then!!!
  8. I'm in Ontario! So this eases my anxiety a little bit... Thanks for your support!! And congrats to you both again, so exciting!! Is dal the only school you applied to/ is it your first choice??
  9. Congrats!! I'm also still waiting... was your portal updated with your acceptance just today?? I'm wondering if they're doing acceptances in waves, or if they sent all the acceptances out at once and now we're just waiting for waitlist or decline...
  10. Ok very nervous now because mine still hasn't changed...
  11. ah ok! Good luck!!
  12. Congrats!!! I don't have access to my mailbox (used my parent's address as mine isn't permanent, and my parents aren't home for a while..). Do they also update it online???
  13. For the non-BSW Fall 2020 entry?? I don't expect to hear from them for a while... why, have you heard??
  14. yeah when the first line said, "congratulations", I screamed!! and then continued to read and realized I was being congratulated for completing my application lol HUGE tease!!!
  15. Does anyone know when we should be hearing back from Dal about the 2 year non-BSW entry for fall 2020? Also, does anyone's online application still say they have items outstanding? My last referee still says incomplete even though the letter was sent in (confirmed by the department who receives the e-references)... making me very nervous!!
  16. I applied to Dalhousie for the 2-year MSW (non-BSW entry) fall 2020 intake, and I'm applying for the same at Laurier, Windsor, and Western! Anyone have any insight on acceptance rates for these programs??
