ooof, that's kind of crappy. You'd think rejections would be out before the admit visit

What’s the point of posting fake results? Lol are there really people on here that just want to hurt complete strangers like this? I don’t understand the motivation.

Are early decision outliers common? For example, UConn and UM send each sent out a single acceptance on Friday, but nothing else. Is this normal? It’s pretty nerve racking at times.

Why do some schools send out rejections a week after they send out acceptances? I don't understand this, especially in schools without MA programs.

If I see another one at some point today, I’ll be more inclined to believe it. But I definitely don’t mind earlier decisions lol.

Anyone claiming the UCONN admit? I have not received anything from them. If past decisions are any indicator, this is over 2 weeks early.

It depends, every cycle there is an applicant that gets into a few top schools with a sub 3 uGPA--although I think all of those applicants had graduate degrees with 3.8+ gpas. You'll also see applicants with very poor quant scores get into top theory programs, but that's not really shocking.

The forum is usually down for about 30 minutes to an hour after schools send out decisions. Probably from high traffic I'm guessing. In the middle of the night or early in the morning, I never have issues. Its right before and after lunch time that I can never get on.

Of those admitted into UW so far, any theorists?

Seeing University of Washington acceptances roll in. Nothing on my email yet, getting nervous. Not helping matters is the fact my EDU email has been acting up lately.

I applied to the PhD program and have heard nothing yet. They normally send out decisions closer to the end of February. Good luck!

JHU for me, also theory. Out of all the schools I applied to, that may be the best fit. I hope to hear back soon, although I don’t think they release decisions until the end of February.

I visited there this summer before applying. It’s an absolutely gorgeous campus and the department is run very well. I’ve heard they only accept 3-4 PhD students a year though.

Probably even more than that considering all UC's have a $120 fee I think.

I can't think of 23 schools I would want to go to. However, my desire to get in somewhere far outweighs any reservations about going to a school I'm not familiar with, lol.
