  1. Yeah their website does say April, so technically they aren't late yet. Its just sucks waiting around especially when students already knew last year. When my friend emailed again the other day she just sent a link to the admissions deadline page.
  2. its weird though, because when I emailed a few weeks back if things will be deferred because of COVID and they told me no. She said that if anything changes they would update us..
  3. I know I saw that too! It’s frustrating
  4. This wait is killing me!!! Last year people knew by now.
  5. You go to admissions then click on the application. They also email you too though informing you then telling you to accept/decline on LORIS. Rejections are through mail.
  6. I checked last years forum and people post March 31 they got emails! But yes fingers crossed!!
  7. Ahh getting very inpatient not hearing anything from Laurier !!! People were already hearing back by now last year ..
  8. Is this for Laurier 2 year stream?
  9. When I asked she said around 360, but I asked in December so I’m not sure if she was referring to the previous year or so far for this year?
  10. Last I emailed, I was told that Laurier accepts 80 for the 2 year in person program!
  11. You are very likely to get in if you were already wait listed! My friend wasn’t wait listed until May last year and still ended up getting in you should be fine!
  12. Last year my friend heard back that she was accepted to Laurier April 1.
  13. We still have hope for Laurier!! They accept more people.
  14. Ah sorry to hear! did you apply anywhere else??
  15. Ahh I know! It’s my first year applying so I kind of expected it. I was hoping to at least get on the wait list though!
  16. And I just got my email from Western.. not accepted. Just waiting on Laurier here but suddenly lost all hope.
  17. Did you apply anywhere else for MSW?? Also did you apply straight from undergrad or took some time off?
  18. Do you mind sharing your average/experience etc?
  19. I noticed you’ve applied before! What did you do for this year to improve your application?
  20. I emailed western and she said they will start sending acceptances out early-mid March and will continue until the program is full. We will be notified through student center!
  21. Anything from western yet??
  22. First round of acceptances will probably be this week! I know someone who was wait listed at King's, which they found out about in May, then didn't get off the waitlist until 10 days before the first day of classes!
  23. Hey! I applied to Laurier and Western then OttawaU but for Counselling psych. My GPA of last 20 credits is 82.5% and my last 10 is 85.8%. I applied with 4700 hours of work/volunteer experience. probably 3500 of those are work the rest volunteering. I was a TA for 2 semesters, but didn't do a thesis or anything like that just an independent study. My work includes support worker, justice worker and case manager at agencies with developmental disabilities, mental health, dual diagnosis, homelessness, in conflict with the law etc. My volunteering is mental health, a bit at the hospital, placement with addictions, and a school club. My references were the program chair of the program I was in, then work supervisors I knew well! Western personal statement was a bit tricky this year.. very short and concise. Can people who have been accepted share their stats??
  24. Did everyone get that email from the 2 year MSW at western today? Really big tease ..
  25. Just got my rejection letter for May 2020 start at Laurier (2 year online). Wasn't really expecting to get in after learning its more experience related! Letter was very general, did not say what to improve personally. Good luck everyone else who applied
