I am sure many people are still waiting on some results and waitlist outcomes, so let us respect their outcomes and not announce the cycle as closed, but since you asked:

I am fairly happy with my (first) cycle, although the outcome was "soso". I applied to only T10-15 US schools and to one UK school (13 in total) and was rejected by 10 (among them my 2 dream schools), although many POIs told me I would have great chances at their programs.

The unsurprising learning was: Fit really matters the most. I was accepted at a good program, where I honestly also had one of the (if not the) best fit, but never talked to anyone before the application. The surprising learning, however, was: The GRE still matters a lot at the top programs. It was the one major thing that (I think and was told) made my application look slightly bad, since I had really awful scores and an admissions committee member (also my POI) at my preferred program actually reached out after the decision to tell me that the low GRE score was the main factor why the committee remained skeptical in the end. I assume good enough scores / "just" above average scores are almost as sufficient as perfect scores, but if any one of your application materials really is surprisingly "bad", it won't make an otherwise perfect application stand out anymore. That was a sad learning, since my dream programs failed probably quite significantly due to that score. Currently, I am deciding between my US and UK options, and will most likely have to delay that process until UK funding decisions are made. It looks like the US, however.

    Good luck to everyone!

I just got my last applicant decision (another rejection). All in all, two acceptances and five rejections. My choice between the two schools is pretty easy, since one is fully funded and one is not. I was waiting until all of the cards were on the table to make my decision, and now I think the path is pretty clear.
This whole process has been nerve wracking! I have had to fight for my self esteem, since I can be a little sensitive to rejection. However, I think this process taught me a lot about myself- and probably a lot about a future working in academia, too.
Now I have slightly less than five months to pack my stuff and move across the country for a new adventure. I wish all of you amazing luck and success in the rest of your application decisions, choices, and futures!

Has anyone else been ghosted by Texas Austin and Rochester? No rejection, no acceptance, no waiting-list. Should I assume rejection? Is it inappropriate to reach out?

Does anyone know if it's possible to get offered a spot off the waitlist after april 15th? If that happens, can I decline my offer that I would have accepted by then?

I think there were 3 acceptances posted in the results page. If you set the search filter to Rochester you will find them.

I was particularly touched by gesture of MPA/ID Director Carol who took the pain writing to me at the time of release of result that-
"As a Fulbright recipient, this message probably went to IIE on your behalf, so I wanted to alert you to the good news directly.
     Congratulations and best wishes!".
So, technically, I did not need to wait for an email from local Fulbright office about my result; Carol informed me that I had made it!!

Yeah, slightly worried about how this entire thing pans out. So, the list of Universities had a mix of both- my choice and what IIE chose for me. Applications went to HKS, UMichigan, GWU, and Georgia Tech.

Congrats to everyone who got in!!!

I see there are also plenty of extremely qualified folks here who didn't get into HKS but got into other top notch schools like SIPA, WWS, Fletcher, SAIS etc., and many of you guys have *incredibly* generous funding from those schools - CONGRATULATIONS!!! Take the offer with pride because those are all AMAZING schools. At the end of the day, it's less about WHICH school you got your degree from, but WHAT you plan to do with your degree. I'm sure you are all bright, driven and compassionate people and the world needs more of you ?

Hello everyone ... I am elated to say that I have been admitted and received a CPL fellowship. I am still in utter shock. Congratulations to those of you who were also admitted, and to those who weren't -- I am sure you will move onto do great things in the very near future. 2019 was the toughest year of my life, and I hit absolute rock bottom. Finally... it seems like I've landed on my feet. Don't want to jinx it though! ?

Hope to keep in touch. Cheers!

As another fulbright scholar, I really share the same anxiety. I have received an admission from other university but with a shortfall, but the Fulbright office in my country refuses to negotiate for more scholarship until I have a firm choice. Let’s just hope that IIE and Fulbright will accelerate the process for us all.

Imagine being a Fulbright scholar and waiting for HKS to send results to IIE and then on to your local Fulbright commission and finally to yourself. HKS releasing decisions is just the first step for us..

And to average out this excitement, WWS has rejected me..
BTW, I am posting the 400th post on this thread..

Hello! This is my first post here. I have also received Fulbright fellowship and I only get to know about things from the IIE contact person. It's a relief to find someone who is going through the same experience.
