  1. I applied for this program back in December and they were supposed to notify applicants about their interview status in mid-January. I got an automated email from their system TODAY that my application is complete and got forwarded to the faculty for review. Wasn't this supposed to happen months ago? Is it just a glitch or did anyone else get this email? I'm pretty sure I'm rejected from their program anyway, but this email came out of nowhere.
  2. The topic pretty much says my question. Do they call recommenders to verify the information and, if they do, would they do that before or after interview day?
  3. If any of you are wondering, Iowa State is done sending out invites. I got an email from the program director today that they finished sending them all out. I was told that I'm "on hold" which means they might extend an offer to me if they go through all their interviewees and don't offer them admission (very rare so I'm crossing it off my list.)
  4. I just wanted to say I think it's totally wild that the counseling psych program is already sending out invites. Clinical isn't going to send them out until 2/5-2/7.
  5. I applied for clinical. I would assume it would be similar for counseling but I'm not 100% sure.
  6. I saw some of you guys asking about UMass Boston. I just got an email from the Program Director and they've fallen behind on reviewing applications for several reasons. Basically, they're going to notify about interviews during the first week of February (between 2/5 to 2/7.) Assume you're not invited for an interview if you don't hear back by 2/7. Some mentors are conducting Zoom/phone interviews before in-person interviews, but don't assume you're not invited if your mentor does this with other applicants but not you. Good luck!
