University of Chicago needs to stop with these advertisement emails about "Come Join Our Institution and Work with Top Notch Professionals." I'm like, look man, the only thing you are giving off right now is annoyance... I already know you are going to reject me in a couple of weeks, so why insist with the ads? Is this going to turn into more Sierra Club unsolicited email/ paper mail situation? I swear I will form an alliance with all of the other Chicago rejects and pursue legal action...

I received an email from a UCSD saying my application status has been changed, but the only thing that changed is that they are requesting my "final' transcripts. What does this mean? I am confused. It says it is still under department review. Is it possible that they would need my final transcripts to make a decision? Is this un/usual? Note: They are asking for all my transcripts, not just the final ones from my MA. Thanks!

Has anyone received a rejection from Emory? I know the WGSS and English departments sent out interview invites the same week, but WGSS already sent out rejections to the other applicants. Just wondering if anyone else applying to English has heard anything from them. Hope we all hear good news this week!

Wow! Congrats! I'm going business casual. I also have a three day interview, so I figured slacks and a decent shirt for everything except for the dinner with faculty and grad students. Not sure what I will wear that day, but I feel like I might switch to a skirt or dress with leggings. Would anyone else care to weigh in on this one? Also, best of luck on the interview!

Universities of California take a bit longer than other schools. I doubt you'll hear back till at least the end of the month... almost there...

It was from the University of Maryland. It wasn't an 800 number. It registered as MD, but it was College Park, MD. It was some other town. Best of luck to everyone! Also, how are people preparing for potential interviews? Tips?
