  1. Sorry ekant! Rooting for you for your other schools!!
  2. Congrats!!
  3. This. Tomorrow is another [Mon]day! Hopefully some good news for us all
  4. I wish there was more to glean from past years' results survey.
  5. Eep. I am still "Awaiting Program Decision." Good luck, ekant! And lyonnessrampant is right, even if Minnesota doesn't work out, it looks like you still have a ton of schools yet to hear from! YES: it's not over till it's over!
  6. Really encouraging thread, thanks readingredhead (and others)!
  7. Hrm. Hope that's not the case! Hope you hear back soon!
  8. Try clicking on "Main" on the top right corner?
  9. My status is still "Awaiting Program Decision." I'm sort of assuming implicit rejection at this point, though?
  10. Hmmm. Seems like someone posted another acceptance. Is it me or does this seem a bit erratic?
  11. Hrm. Just got wait listed. Super vague email.
  12. Congrats on funding/acceptances! Meanwhile, is anyone else still in limbo?
  13. OK, thanks for the update!
  14. Hey lyoness, Any idea when the next wave of acceptances is coming out? Thanks so much for all the generous information you've provided so far, by the way. Hope you're enjoying the program! Mondays suck...
  15. Yeah, seems that way. Let me know if you hear anything. Hopefully some good news will come our way soon!
  16. Gene Parmesan, your username is almost as good as my THREE THOUSAND DOLLAR SUIT, C'MON. No seriously, love it.
  17. Ahh. Wasn't me. But I'm also eagerly anticipating hearing from them... fedupofthewait do you know anything about their target cohort size? There doesn't seem to be much info on the results board from past years to go by.
  18. Well, if you waived your right to read the letters, you'd have to ask your professors to upload them to the folio site anyway (to maintain confidentiality). I'd say to keep in touch with your professors, ask them if they would be willing to update their letters and upload them to the folio service, and then use them as needed for your applications. Seems like you still have a lot of schools up in the air though! Try to keep hope alive!
  19. Despite the fact that online application systems require direct emails, I still used folio services this year for all of my applications. It seems like folio services have adapted over the past few years too – they now upload your LORS to application systems for you (through email). If you do this next year and ideally save your professors some extra work, I'm sure you'll feel less awkward about asking for them to update their LORS. I've had to do that before, and, usually professors are completely understanding. They do need to actually update the letters, though. "Old" letters don't look great, from what I've heard.
  20. I would encourage you to apply to MALS. There are a lot of great things about the program. Trip, from what I've seen, people don't tend to sign up for the PhD-level classes right away, so, if you register on time you'll most likely get into the ones you want. Overall it depends what you're looking for. Resources for PhD-track students are there, but, you do have to make it work for yourself (Make it work!). It also seems as though they're in the process of expanding the program right now, too, so, there may be better courses offered within the MALS program itself moving forward. Cquin, feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.
  21. ...... what. Taking a shot in her honor. Now.
  22. Thanks Grunty! I really appreciate that. That's terrible about PR. And I was never a fan of Michael Costello. The day he wins all-stars is the day I give up on applying to PhD programs: i.e. don't hold your BREATH. Rooting for you, too.
  23. THERE'S NO TIM GUNN?!?! I, too, am still waiting. But, I'm looking forward to putting it behind me for the weekend, at least, and, attempting life as a real human being.
