  1. im personally leaning towards npsia if i get in (great program at a more affordable cost, but if you want any info on munk, i did my undergrad with a program affiliated with the school and pretty much everyone i know has the done the mga lol.
  2. you got into the MSC for International Relations at LSE? Congrats!! I've applied myself and waiting to hear back (LSE is my first choice personally because London's like a second home). I applied in January and still have a brutally long wait to go before I've reached the standard 8 weeks to hear back from us for an offer/rejection. mind if i message you directly? also if i got in and went to npsia, definitely leaning towards the federal government. did a few summers working in different department and find public service work enjoyable. the dream would be to work at GAC in particular. how about you?
  3. i think some people heard as early as feb 23 according to some of the forums; but im sure we'll know by early march, if not by the end of feb if the regular updates to my application are anything to go by. congrats on gpsia btw! it also seems like an incredible program with amazing profs like roland paris and pretty unique co-op opportunities. only reason i didnt apply for gpsia myself was the french requirement. im sure if you got into gspia, you'll have no issue getting into npsia
  4. have moved from review in progress to department to recommend for assessment today. hope results come out soon
  5. put foreign policy and diplomacy as my first pick, followed by security/defence, and intelligence. i hope results come out soon!
  6. i completed my application jan 31 and whenever i logged in through carleton 360, it showed up as "preliminary review required.' however, i actually just clicked into my application via Carleton central admissions and noticed that the status of my application had actually changed to review in progress by the department. cause of the discrepancy between the two pages, i didn't know when i was recommended for assessment. i dont know if i'd take this as a good sign though - plus ive read some peoples status didnt change right till they got accepted so nothing to worry about the system seems a bit glitchy id also recommend actually going into carleton central rather than relying on the first page when you log in; i believe it said on the site completed apps will be reviewed starting feb 15, although no date was given for when admission decisions would be sent out
  7. my status has changed to review in progress by the department - i was hoping the process might be faster given that i've completed my degree already, but im so nervous about now apparently being close to hearing about whether i'll be rejected or accepted...
  8. nice to see someone also from u of t's ir program on here!
  9. glad to know its not just me yeah i didnt wanna make my statement too long since they indicated they only wanted 1-2 pages; i ended up with 1 and a bit pages, single space. mainly just talking about issues i was interested in and relating it to the professors whose work i thought was intriguing/how i'd be able to actually learn about them at npsia. didn't go into my life story much. gosh, i know the wait isnt that long...but its gonna feel like forever lol. good luck to you as well!!
  10. thanks for the update! so good to know. im hoping us already having received our undergrad degree might help speed the process up personally felt like my personal statement was mediocre so im a bit nervous, but i had good grades in undergrad + great references and cv, which im hoping makes up for it. best of luck to us all haha
  11. joining in on this thread....uploaded the rest of my docs on january 31 and just nervous about the wait now (I'm a domestic applicant). i've already graduated and all my grades were confirmed. i wonder if people ever hear back before march.
