Have you been able to get into the site yet? It's 9AM EDT now and mine is still saying access denied.

My email finally rolled in at 11:49PM EDT yesterday, but I tried logging in just now and keep getting the error, which is somehow worse than not having gotten the email!! Hopefully soon

What a roller coaster this is- first thought it wasn't going to be so soon, then it seemed like today, then it didn't seem like today anymore, and now emails are trickling out... I'm going crazy! I just want this to be over so I can focus on work again.

I think so too. In last year's thread someone got a reply from NSERC saying they would only start being released after 5pm on the Tuesday! And it looks like people were getting them throughout the evening, not necessarily at 5

Seriously! My dept and the NSERC site somewhere both said "end of April" and I've been stressed since like the beginning of March

That's what I thought as well! I was on last year's thread and saw this mentioned by multiple people, but I don't know how supervisors would know in advance.

Joining in on this year's thread as a first time applicant- starting to get nervous! I've heard about supervisors knowing before we do- is that a standard thing? Would I hear from them first?

Hi all! Domestic applicant here. I applied to UofT, McMaster, Guelph, and Ottawa. I've had profs from Guelph and Ottawa contact me with updates, saying that my file is circulating around the department. Other than that, no news. I know people who've recently gotten into the direct entry PhD for my program at UofT (I only applied for the MSc) so the waiting has been killing me. EDIT: just realized this thread was for sociology applications in particular, whoops. But good luck to everyone!
