  1. I just got my email! Unfortunately, my application scored much worse than last year and I did not get an award. Crossing my fingers for all of you!
  2. Yes—I applied last year. As far as I know, they haven't sent any emails this year.
  3. I always tell myself not to get my hopes up but here I am refreshing this page & the extranet over and over again 😭
  4. That's so stressful—I really hope you get an answer soon! I'm not sure about incoming students, but for current students in my department/institution, we don't get OGS results until July-ish. I really hope that SSHRC actually sends the results out prior to the end of the month—we still have a few days! If we get to Friday without hearing anything, it might be worth explaining the situation to your department and asking for an extension for the OGS confirmation.
  5. I'm a SSHRC applicant and had the same issue re: seeing what looked like email address-named files in my extranet. So weird!
  6. Last year they emailed that my results were ready at 7:22 pm (EDT). I hope it's sooner than next week as we'll be into May...
  7. I am able to access the extranet through my account from last year. I've been checking periodically, but no documents have been uploaded yet. The extranet is loading very, very slowly today!
  8. They use this number to calculate how many years of funding you get if you are successful. My understanding is that they loosely take into consideration what stage of your program you're in when you apply, but usually more awards go to upper-year students.
  9. Yes! They included this information in the results documents last year: Applications: 2294 Fellowships Offered: 1077 (46.9%) Fellowships Not Offered: 1217 (53.1%)
  10. I haven't received anything yet either! Last year, we got an email on 19 April that said the results would be out the following week. On 25 April (evening!) we got the email with the link to set up our extranet account and access our results.
  11. Thank you! I'm trying not to get my hopes up. The 6+ month wait is soooo hard.
  12. Marloe is correct—the system is separate from the one we applied to! There will be a couple of documents. The most important one will have your results. (Interestingly, my result just said "not funded", but I found out through my school that I was "recommended but not funded" because I was so close to the last funded position in my group. I wonder if this result is the waitlist?) There will be a breakdown of your scores across the two categories. You'll also get your position number, how many people were in your group, and what the last funded position number was. I think in my group last year it was something like there were 66/150 people funded, and I was number 70-something? There's no feedback, unfortunately.
  13. I could be wrong, but I don't think you can set up an account before they send the instructions out. The email from last year has a crazy-long link that led you to a page to set your password, which "finalized" your account and gave you your documents. The process didn't even work for most people last year and we had to find workarounds to access our results. I've been checking my extranet account at least once a day to see if the documents get uploaded before they send out the email. 😅
  14. Yes! I just double-checked my email, and results were released on 25 April. However, their website was glitching and most people couldn't even get into their account—it was so stressful. Also, keep in mind that about a week before the results were uploaded, they sent an email with the subject "SSHRC Doctoral Awards Results." It incited instant panic, but the body of the email just said that results would be ready "soon" 😭. So, don't get your hopes up when you see an email from them!!
  15. Good luck, everyone! This application was my second time making it to the final round. I was quite close to the last funded position last year, so my fingers are crossed! (Trying very hard not to get my hopes up, though.) The 6+ month wait is BRUTAL.
