Hi! Just found this forum because I would like to send a continued letter of interest to my top-choice school that I was waitlisted at. How did it go for you, OP?
Tagging you all as you mentioned working in the field. I will probably have to reapply next cycle and would like to work in the field over this next year. Unfortunately I am having a hard time finding out requirements to be an SLP-A. I am an out-of-field applicant so I don't have a degree in communication sciences and disorders / SLP. Are there other jobs related to the field you all know of that would be good to apply for? Thanks!!
Hi Laurel! I'm Caroline. I actually was only able to apply to 1 school this year due to geographical constraints and being out-of-field. In the next year I was hoping to take online classes and work as an SLP-A (assuming I don't get off the waitlist). How do you obtain an SLP-A job? Thanks!
Yes, I interviewed Feb 7 and heard about the waitlist on Feb 21. I also heard this was the first year of interviews. I am sorry you didn't get one but I am sure you will get into many other great programs!
I got waitlisted at the only school I applied to and I'm so anxious! I am out-of-field so my back-up plan is to take the pre-requisites and apply again. Does anyone know how likely it is to get off a waitlist?
I was only able to apply to 1 program this year as well!! I applied to UVA and was waitlisted so I'm anxiously awaiting for other people to make their decisions.
