  1. Is anyone planning on declining their offer from Stockton University (NJ)?
  2. I got mine in the mail. They did not update my portal page.
  3. I got waitlisted today as well wondering the same thing...
  4. I am currently an SLPA in PA. The only requirement was an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I graduated a semester early from my undergraduate institution and became an SLPA for this spring semester. I will not be continuing it next year because I will be continuing my studies in graduate school. I loved the experience, but if you have to opportunity to go into graduate school next year right away and not wait a year I would do that. No need to delay your end goal of being an SLP! Being an SLPA was a great opportunity for myself to continue my education and involvement within the field before grad school. Feel free to message me if you have any questions! Good luck!
  5. I have heard some things about West Chester's graduate program being disorganized. I am an SLPA and the SLP I worked with that attended WCU not too long ago told me not to apply there and that she did not receive much guidance from professors. I heard good things about the undergraduate program... not sure how or why there would be a difference with organization and guidance from instructors. I am considering West Chester as well but got a bad taste in my mouth when I heard different opinions. On a different interview at another school, an undergraduate from WCU told me that many from the program did not even apply there. Not sure if that is true but it is giving me different thoughts about my decision.
  6. Does anyone think the coronavirus will effect when we hear back from schools that have not made decisions yet? For example: if universities are closing and faculty cannot meet to discuss admissions decisions.
  7. I think it depends on the school. I was waitlisted at Towson University on a Friday and three days later on that next Monday I was taken off the waitlist. I am not sure where on the waitlist I was because we did not receive that information but my advice is to stay patient because they told me I wouldn't know until after April 15th through July and of course that was not the case. Good luck!
  8. Hi, I got accepted but will most likely be declining because I have heard mixed opinions about West Chester's program
  9. Hi I am just wondering if any current students could tell me a little bit more about Salus University and Stockton University in NJ. I was accepted to Salus and will be attending there if I do not get accepted into Stockton. When I visited Salus for my interview I was very impressed with the program and how medically focused it seems to be because I am interested in the hospital or outpatient setting. Yet, Stockton has a big advantage because of its location I would be able to live at home. Also wondering when we are expected to hear back from Stockton. I'm getting anxious! Thanks everyone! Good luck with everything. (I also got accepted to Towson University, William Paterson University, and Moravian College but will most likely be declining those offers) (waitlisted at La Salle)
