Not I.....? This is going to be a painfully long day or two so I've decided i'm going to TRY not checking at all until later this evening. My poor kids have to deal with me until then ?

I wish York would just reject me and put me out of my misery already ? The silver lining of kids schools closing yesterday is my household is so busy right now that I don't have as much time to sit, mull and refresh! Hope everyone is doing well despite the immense frustration and anxiety that waiting for these decisions has caused ?

As a former U of T student......not surprised. Their response to mental health crises and to the multiple deaths by suicide on campus has made it blatantly obvious that student and professor well being will never be their priority.

If no one starts hearing back today, would it be safe to assume they may not start until next week? It seems they need at least 5 days to send out all their acceptances/rejections/waitlist and I can't see them starting on a Thursday and continuing on Monday. Although nothing seems to make sense this year so who knows!

So painful.....I'm trying to decide on a placement right now to do for the summer and whether I got into the program would change which placement option I would pursue...but running out of time

I believe that this is going to solely depend on how the vaccine rollout progresses and whether we are able to vaccinate essential workers and vulnerable populations in hot spot areas (regardless of age) and get a handle on community spread. Right now we are obviously in a horrible position here in Ontario and unless stricter measures are implemented soon I think it is going to take awhile to recover from this

Has anyone been accepted in York's two year program yet?

I'm not checking it this weekend at all. Even though Monday isn't technically a holiday I have a feeling they'll start on Tuesday to be honest. I cannot imagine them not starting this coming week though!

I have decided that GradCafe and I are in an unhealthy dual relationship and that at this point the forum is violating my boundaries. Counter-transference is occurring as I have inappropriate emotional reactions directed at the website which should actually be directed at U of T ?? Over the weekend I am going to re-establish clear and rigid boundaries and check in only a few times a day to preserve my sanity haha Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend of relaxation in light of the circumstances and hoping we are all put out of our misery early next week

When I was wailisted the letter stated that they accepted 130) and I believe there were 700 or 900 total applications (I can't remember which one sorry!)

They don't have an established wait list as far as I know. I've never heard of anyone being wait listed by York. So perhaps if one is not rejected right away and all acceptances have gone out, one can assume they are on the waitlist. It would be nice if they communicated this to applicants

I received mine on June 15th as well. On my son's birthday! haha I wonder why we didn't get rejected right away? I've never understood why it took so long to send it.

Sorry to hear! Crossing my fingers you get better news from U of T . I hope York doesn't wait until June to get back to me like they did last year haha

Math is certainly not my strong suit but I think this gives us a 4% chance of getting in ??

That section in the references where my boss spoke to my emotional stability and ability to do well with stress under pressure doesn't feel accurate right now ?

Was definitely hoping to see some decisions start rolling out this morning. Living your life hanging in limbo and being unable to plan or prepare the next few years properly because it rests on this decision is awful.

In 2020 I received my rejection from York on June 15th....it was ridiculous ? I'm really unclear what their process is.
