Looking at the spreadsheet, it looks like there are a ton of waitlisted people (myself included). If the spreadsheet is representative and all 4/16 and 4/17 updates represent all the accepted and waitlisted people, 25% of applicants were waitlisted or accepted. If the acceptance rate is about 5% as expected, this means there are 4x as many waitlistees as acceptances. I think a waitlist is more like a fancy rejection than anything--the chances you get off the waitlist seem pretty low.

Honestly I hate this haha. The most depressing thing for me is both my lab mates that have applied for fellowships have won at least one (my advisor won both NSF and NDSEG), and I'm about positive at this point that I am going to be the black sheep. 

Idk keep hope! I got a NSF HM and I'll have you know my UG/Grad GPAs are going to be outliers on that table if and when I add them.

Honestly same. I'm just in this thread because coronavirus is debilitatingly isolating. Thanks for making me not feel like the most neurotic grad student ever. ~December Gang~

If they have until April 30th to meet the "April 2020" deadline I feel like we're not getting notified anytime soon... please let me be wrong though

I added in some new columns to the spreadsheet just for extra data (because we all love data, and because I have insomnia) :  Undergrad GPA, Grad GPA, and GRE scores. The 'easier_summary' tab averages them by branch and date. I suspect we'll see no real difference anywhere though, but perhaps it will help us all with post-processing the decisions?
edit: GPA intended to be a 4.0 scale, although that potentially varies?
