  1. That is a relief! Thank you for sharing that and congratulations on your successful application!!
  2. Do mind sharing your University? I received this from my university which makes me think I wasn't successful (still waiting to hear from SSHRC) I understand that SSHRC Doctoral results have been announced. Regardless of your success, we ask that you please forward a pdf copy of your results notification, including your ranking, to me. This information helps us shape our process for future competitions. The SSHRC Doctoral program is very competitive and regardless of the final outcome, your nomination to the national level is a great achievement.
  3. I am committee 4 and still no word. The wait is excruciating!!
  4. Of course happy to help!
  5. I definitely understand that doubt, I also experienced a lot of that. I continued to work as a mental health support worker as well as worked in a research lab. However, when I applied my first time I already had quite a bit of experience so I am not sure if that boosted me much. I also am a coauthor on a paper but they are still in production so that doesn't have much weight either. I think a big part of what worked this time was having a better Letter of Intent and finding a good supervisor match.
  6. I am sorry to hear that. Application time is so stressful. Keep your head up though, it took me 3 times before I finally got a letter of acceptance. If it doesn't happen for you this year that doesn't mean you wont get in other years! My understanding is this year was a tough year with lots of applicants. Fingers cross you hear something good from one of the schools though ?
  7. You should get an email letting you know there was a response in your portal and then you have to log in to read it.
  8. Has anyone received any news from UBC? I know last year they didn't send results till later March but I am anxiously waiting for a response!
  9. Ohh okay thank you for clarifying, clearly I did not read your comment well enough! Out of curiosity, has your application status changed at all?
  10. I'm curious where you saw that? I haven't see anything in the results section
  11. I have recently received my first admission to a MA counselling psychology program. While I am very excited to be accepted into this program their deadline for accepting is March 2nd, which is earlier than I will be hearing back from the other schools (and potential funding) I have applied for. I was wondering if anyone might have advice on either reaching out to the universities I am still waiting to hear from to inquire about my application or asking the accepting university for an extension on the deadline (I have heard other people doing this but personally feel weird doing that). Any advice is appreciated
  12. It looks like last year someone received an interview invite Feb 6 so hopefully this year will be similar.
  13. I haven't heard anything from Western Ontario yet. I think their interview invites go out pretty late though. My friend got an interview and accepted a few years ago and she said it was late February/early March when she got her invite for the interview. Hopefully we will hear something sooner than that though!
  14. For the UofL MEd route the interviewers said we should hear back within the first two weeks of February. I imagine it would be similar for the the MC route
  15. Does anyone know when Western Ontario usually sends out invites for interviews?
