  1. Dang. Same here. I'm trying not to beat myself over this.
  2. Ah, so it sounds like UBC has a rolling acceptance in a sense? So, for example, if 5 of the 20 people accepted choose another school, then 5 spots will open up for the top 5 students on the waitlist? I guess there's still hope. Does anyone know when UBC wants a response from their accepted applicants?
  3. Haha, that's my forum! Thank you. I guess I'll just keep an eye out here and my own inbox about my application status...
  4. I'm thinking this mostly because we're nearing April! I haven't heard of anyone receiving a response (either a rejection or shortlist notification) quite yet. If you look at the acceptance procedure document from 2019, it says that short-listed applicants will usually be notified by late February to mid-March... just feeling antsy about things.
  5. I just realized that SFU may have already sent out notifications to their short-listed candidates. Does anyone know if they would send out notices of rejection around the same time?
  6. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you also get short-listed to SFU, what do you think you'll do? I've been soooo antsy.
  7. I just need a safe space to release my anxious feels! I was expecting to hear from SFU late-February but it's now the first week of March. I'm trying not to get too ahead of myself, but I'm so curious to know if I got shortlisted - I know there's still a few steps before actually being accepted into the SFU program. My mind can't help but wonder! ALSO! I find it odd how UBC will e-mail successful applicants mid-March, but will send letters to those they reject in April... hoping I'll receive an e-mail from them this month. Both are incredibly competitive and I assume that there were more applicants this year due to SFU closing their 2020 admissions and COVID-19. If I don't get the news I'm hoping for, I'm trying to remind myself to keep going because I want nothing more than to be a practicing counselor! I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling this way... feel free to channel your anxious energy on this thread! The waiting game is tough because you can't do much other than... wait.
  8. Hi everyone. Wondering if anyone knows if UBC's admission process is a simple yes/no (i.e. no interview required)? The waiting game makes me anxious!
  9. Hey, hope that you're still active. I made an account just so I could reply, haha. Which programs are you planning on applying to? I'm from BC, so I'm mostly interested in SFU, UVIC and UBC.
