  1. Congratulations that's great news both programs are strong and well reputed. The final choice will depend on you, Where do u live now and which place will be easier for you to relocate? The program is more expensive with Western, however the rest of life requirements (including rents) are much cheaper in London Ontario (Western) than Vancouver (UBC). Also, would you consider the time factor as priority aspect for you, as with Western you will save a full year? I hope you reach the best decision for you ASAP, but rest assure you can't get wrong with either choice.
  2. planning to attend Western! Would love to connect! Me too, would love to connect
  3. Yes, I accepted the offer. What about you? have you decided yet ?
  4. I declined the offers from Dalhousie and UVic, I hope this brings good news to waitlisted colleagues.
  5. I have a feeling that all the remaining applications will be addressed tomorrow and day after tomorrow !
  6. They have average of 150 spots in the program "which is like 5 times any other Canadian program" plus if all the spots got filled and they still have good candidate they refer them to the Public Health Diploma "which when they finish with specific minimum score they can be transferred to the Masters".
  7. LHSTM is one of the highest ranking Public Health programs globally and it has very respected reputation among the epidemiologists and the health care professionals, plus it has online/distance learning and finally it has much higher acceptance rate than any other Canadian program.
  8. I got accepted at Western and Dalhousie, Waitlisted at Mcgill and Still waiting for Queens and Uvic. I hope within the next week we get the results from Queens and Uvic and Mcgill final response so I can make my final decision
  9. So, I still don't know how to accept or reject the offer, the student center still showing "released to program". Did anyone got the system updated? or is there another way to reply to the offer?
  10. I'm still waiting Uvic and Queens , the Fees of Western MPH is the main downside !
  11. You guys gonna accept the offer? I'm still hesitated!
  12. I just got acceptance offer from Western MPH !
  13. I don't think they send any acceptance/rejections over the weekend!
  14. Thanks a lot For US I applied for MSc Community Health and Prevention Research at Stanford, Master of Public Health Johns Hopkins .. both are full time onsite and I got accepted by both. Regarding UK , MPH Imperial College & MSc in Global Health Science and Epidemiology from University of Oxford, again both are full time onsite and I've been accepted . I just feel some bitterness that I didn't receive any reply yet from Canadian Universities, I think they should reconsider the whole process either the selecting criteria or the timelines itself, specially with the new era we are living at.
  15. I hear you my friend, I have the same experience ! I applied for US, UK and Canadian Programs , I heard from US & UK universities but not for the Canadian ones (I got accepted at Stanford, Oxford and Imperial College) but still didn't hear from any Canadian Uni.
  16. I really don't know why the Canadian universities are so complicated in their process, it's so disappointing that it's harder to join a decent Masters program in a Canadian university than the same in an American or an UK university! after all, in the Covid-19 situation -as an example- we see that the American and the UK universities -and their graduates- helped the humanity much more than the Canadian universities!
  17. I think what you said is right I guess. I just was wondering why some universities recommend to apply and submit as early as possible, but may be as you said , just to make sure that all documents are fulfilled! Thanks CateMeow!
  18. Simply my question is, from your experience and/or knowledge , does it make any difference to submit my application either very early "as early as one week after opening the application process" Or very late "as late as 2 weeks from dead line"? or all the same ? Another question is is it a good practice after submitting my application to send e-mail to the graduarte office or the program admin to say that I've submitted my application and all the reference letters has been sent, or no need to send such an e-mail? Thanks in advance for your inputs everyone.
  19. Hello everyone; Thank you for posting this topic , I'm planning to apply for MPH fall 2021, I have a lot of questions in my mind, and I'm so worried that I'm not competitive enough! I hope anyone from the current students of MPH programs would help! 1- I'm Permanent Resident in Canada , but I was graduated from university out of Canada , in this case I'm considered Domestic or International applicant? 2- How to write good letter of intent ? 3- I want to ask someone if My C.V would allow me to got accepted for MPH in any Canadian University?! Thanks
