ahhhhh NOW i have anxiety

UTSA told me yesterday they were just beginning to evaluate applications so I have to imagine other programs are still early in the process as well. I think the deadline for Drexel is today, so I wonder if they have even started yet as well. Sometimes I think I might throw up from anticipation anxiety.

Austin is my top choice and I haven't heard anything yet. Maybe we can keep each other in the loop

I think they mean official in the way that they don't just want you attaching a course list (my school provides course lists as an unofficial transcript). What I did was order the official transcript from my schools and sent them to myself. Then uploaded them. Technically, they are the "official" transcripts but since I uploaded them myself that makes them good enough to look at for most admissions, but not for actual admit, which official transcripts sent direct to the program are.

I would assume one batch of interviews goes out over the course of a few days or a week or two...I could be wrong. I'm dying with anxiety now though, I about lost it when one of my programs asked me to upload old transcripts they previously said were not required

I have heard nothing yet One of my programs is suddenly asking for old transcripts (from old junior colleges) that previously they said were not required so maybe thats something? LOL, I am reaching

Three UTs: Austin, Southwestern, San Antonio. CU Boulder, University of Washington, Drexel University I'm mostly interested in addiction neurobiology, really as it presents with clinical depression though.

I heard from one of my programs that they will have less spots than normal due to covid funding issues, and this would likely be the case for other programs as well. As far as the applicant pool, I would assume it would be more competitive this year but I really don't know that. This thread is pretty dead for it being December already...

I've already started obsessively checking the websites even though I know they will email me and it is too early.

Just submitted my final application yesterday. I told all my letter writers back in September that I needed the letters by Nov 1st, the latest letter got submitted Nov 4 (and that was only because we had a hurricane right before Halloween that knocked out power for many people for 3-6 days). Feels good to have them in so I can focus on wrapping up my final semester of undergrad (I graduate in less than 3 weeks-w00t)

Hey everyone, Here is my info. I feel really under-qualified compared to a lot of people on here. Undergrad: a regular state school in the US; Major: Biology, Minor: Psychology GPA: 3.7 Graduating this December. Awards: a few regular scholarships, one research scholarship, Phi Kappa Phi, Dean's and President's list a few times Research Experience: a year and currently counting (until I graduate) at my current university. doing a project that sequences genes in human samples of a chromosome disorder, going to eventually combine results with the psychology department. I assisted with getting the project off the ground and into actual practice. Its the first of its kind at my university. I also do some basic animal care stuff not related to my project around the lab. a two month internship last summer at a hospital, just some light epidemiology research. One presentation from my summer internship, I will present again in November for my current project. No publications. LORs: 2 from lab PIs and professors in upper level courses I took/am taking (one in my biology lab, other is from our psychology department). 1 from an old boss in an unrelated field who knows me very well. Other: Treasurer for the biology honor club at my school for a year. Current List: UT Austin, UT San Antonio, UT Southwestern, CU Boulder, Drexel, University of Washington, Boston University
