  1. I can't say with 100% certainty, but I'm pretty sure they do. Some people in my cohort were interviewed in the last round last year and only had to wait a few days. So hopefully you only have a week or two left of waiting!
  2. They are doing a round of interviews right now, and there is another round left (I'm not sure when exactly the that is, but I assume next week or the week after). I interviewed early last year as well, and waited almost 5 weeks before I had an update. I'm a first year at Drexel right now, so just wanted to let you know in case you are anxious like I definitely was a year ago.
  3. Hey sorry, I know statement wasn't to me. But Drexel College of Medicine might have some labs you'd be interested in. I'm a first year in their neuroscience PhD program but they also have a pharmacology & physiology program that has a lot of neuro overlap with labs. In fact, next semester I will be rotating in a pharm/phys lab (so you could apply to either program). The deadline for apps is on the 15th so there's still a little bit of time if you decide you like it. My experience at Drexel has been great so far. Very supportive and friendly people. Classes are tough, though! But I'm really learning a lot.
  4. Quoting and answering my own question: I will be heading to Drexel!
  5. Hey I'm non-traditional as well! I graduated undergrad in 2020 but had I gone to college right after highschool I would've graduated in 2011. Did lots of unrelated things in those 10 years before going back to school. I was waitlisted for a long time and was starting to make plans to do a masters, I bet you will have way too many interviews the next time you apply.
  6. I don't personally know about those programs but thats my research interest as well! Maybe if you love them all, either choose the one with the most labs you'd be interested in (for possible fall back) or just go straight for prestige. Or go by pure feeling, draw a random one and if you're immediately like "YES" or "oh damn, I wanted this other one" pick that way.
  7. no way to know but you only have 8 more days until people have to make their decision! i was only taken off a wait list 5 days ago.
  8. Yay! See you in the first year biomed core classes!
  9. hooray! see you there! at least in the biomedical grad program core classes
  10. Hey all, I am attending Drexel COM (for biomedical/neuro) this fall. Anyone else?
  11. I'll be joining you there this fall! Thank you again for the random plug post for the program.
  12. I'm someone who is on one wait list and rejected from everywhere else so I am feeling this deeply right now. But, definitely don't think people should rush either.
  13. I didn't apply to that particular program but I want to suggest that you email the program. I was wait listed at a different program and didn't know until I emailed them about it. They had already sent out a batch of acceptances after i interviewed, so i sent an email the day after that
  14. Waitlisted at Drexel! Better than a rejection, but still holds me in grad school limbo.
  15. I've been waiting almost 5 weeks since an interview and I have heard nothing. I think right at the 5 week mark I can go ahead and email them to find out what's up? Who knew hanging out in limbo could be so exhausting
  16. Rejected from one of two programs I interviewed for. Feeling really down and not very confident about my chances for the other now. I feel like I just got dumped, its so sad.
  17. Thanks for letting me know! Wish you the best for your other interviews!
  18. Hey I noticed you interviewed at Drexel. Which interview days were you? I was in the first group and I'm dying at this point for a decision. I'm wondering what they told you guys about when you would hear.
  19. I am almost making myself sick waiting for post-interview decisions. This has been the longest 2.5 weeks of my life
  20. Hey I just wanted to let you know this post is what made me go look at Drexel for the first time then decide to apply. I was trying to remember where I had seen that original suggestion. I interviewed with them a couple weeks ago and now am waiting for a decision! So, thanks again for posting this, may have not ended up on my radar otherwise.
  21. OK, just finished what is likely my last interview for this season yesterday. Now I will continue to try not to crawl out of my skin waiting for decisions. Been waiting two weeks already for an interview two weeks ago.
