Hi all! OISE got back to my email yesterday and stated that if we haven’t heard back yet then we should hear back by end of the month! Sounds brutal to wait another three weeks but hopefully it’ll be earlier than that

Hi! I’m in the same boat as you for all three! Last year for UWO some people reported being invited for interviews in mid April (around April 11 I believe). Western has also noted that they typically have rounds of interviews however they said they were unsure of how many rounds there will be this year. Other than that I’m not sure what to make of western and mac. Truthfully I feel like we may not make it off of the waitlist to interview for mac because I know of at least one or two people who were on the waitlist to interview and were asked to come interview back in February. So it seems like all of their spots might be filled. I have absolutely noooo idea what UofT is doing lol. Not sure why rejections went out first before any acceptances but perhaps it’s their way of trying to make sense of who to accept. I can imagine it’s probably pretty overwhelming for them to make decisions with such great applicants and such limited spots. I hope UofT will release their acceptances this week or the next. It’s definitely taking way longer than needed.

I’m pretty sure they are able to withdraw their confirmation of acceptance for another school upon an acceptance from a second school. However some may lose out on any deposits made as those are usually non refundable. That might stop them from changing their decision even after being accepted to UofT. Therefore I don’t think many on the waitlist will make it off as that’s been the pattern for the past several years. I’ve also heard that there’s only space for 10 people on the waitlist so it seems like UofT is aware that the likeliness of moving off the waitlist is quite slim as most people usually accept their acceptances even after accepting elsewhere. Just my thoughts though I could be totally wrong!!

Sounds like a great plan tbh! Yorkville has produced very successful practitioners that were able to secure jobs post graduation - same as any other public university! At the end of it all that matters is that you can get registered to practice. Whether that comes from a public uni or a private one, it shouldn’t matter! Everyone’s path to success is different wishing you all the best!!

Ah I see, yeah it doesn’t show that for the MEd application but maybe it’ll show up once there is an actual status update. Thanks for sharing!

that’s so strange! Is this for MEd counselling and psychotherapy too? Even when I open my application there’s no update or documents or anything. Very very strange

yup me too! does yours still only say submitted? so weird that last year people said theirs would change to under review but mine has remained submitted since i submitted it in november

Hey, has anybody reached out to UofT/Todd regarding their application status? I emailed yesterday and haven’t gotten a response yet but everyone says Todd replies pretty quickly so just wondering if anyone who reached out has heard back from them/him?

Anyone else planning on bombarding OISE with emails this week lol this is getting ridiculous. My current manager wants to renew my work contract for another year but I don’t know if I should go ahead and sign it because I’m still waiting to hear from OISE. There’s so much planning I have to do for the rest of the year (vacations, family trips, work, volunteering) that I can’t make without knowing their decision. Really frustrating.

Thanks! Did they say they would send out decisions in April or are you just guessing based on how long it’s taking? I feel for those who may have to accept other offers before April and want to know all of their options

Ah yes, I graduated in 2021 from my undergrad at a different university, so I guess that’s why I didn’t get a login. That’s fine though, as you said I’m sure they would reach out via email soon thereafter thanks so much for the info!
