  1. Hi. You had your interviews?
  2. Yes, I am doing the same for a while now. I was just curious whether others have received any feedback from KAUST. Thanks for the advice, though. ?
  3. Hi everyone. Any updates?
  4. So, any updates? Received any feedback? Anyone?
  5. I had my first HR interview for 15-25 minutes and then the final HR interview for approximately 10 minutes. ?
  6. Hi, Would you please expound upon the 'informal interview' with the PI? If you mean an academic interview then, you are left with an interview with the admissions section only; which would simply be a conversation wherein they would ask you about your personal life like interests, how do you feel about relocating to Saudi Arabia, occupation of your parents, your hobbies, etc.
  7. Hi, my application had been transferred to the Fall 2021 session as my Professor emailed me and wanted to evaluate all applications together in the Fall session instead of Spring 2021 (my guess being, he did this due to the pandemic). So, now I had my 2nd interview (personal interview) on 1st-June-2021. They cordially struck the conversation and mainly asked some general questions like 'Why KAUST?', hobbies, whether I have travelled to different places, or am I more kind of home-loving person? If not KAUST then what is your plan-B? How important is acceptance from KAUST to you? Any other colleges where you have applied to? They may ask a question regarding your views about Saudi Arabia, this is bit more personal (uncomfortable, I guess). So, be careful in the choice of your words. You wouldn't want to spoil all your hardwork by wrong choice of words. That's it. Overall they help you get comfortable and ask all such questions in a friendly way. Be confident, do let them know how important KAUST is to you; that's the key. Hope this helps someone somewhere trying his best to get admitted.
  8. Hi, this may be too late as reply to your query but you should apply to KAUST if you have a good CGPA. I had applied to KAUST and got a call for both my interviews, i.e, academic and personal. Even though I haven't received an offer yet, but neither my Professor nor the admission staff focused on the University much. Though I had some internships from some reputed Institutes of India (IITs). So, you should try and grab an opportunity to do some research internship with a good professor or from a good University. Something which is more important is contacting the professor by an email, send him your CV and some research work presentation or something close to it. If you get a reply from his side, this may enhance your chances of being selected. Go for it, we never know when an opportunity may knock our door.
  9. Hi, though you may have already given your interview. I did give mine as well. Can you please update us about any offer made since then? This may help us to anticipate when we may probably receive our offer letters (either acceptance or rejection). Thanks.
  10. Would you please tell us, what happened next? Did you receive a call?

  12. Hey! I had applied to KAUST on 7th-Sept-2020. Haven't heard from them for an interview till now. I have contacted a Prof, and I was informed that the admission interviews may begin by December 2020. I hope to open up this thread for all those who've applied at KAUST, so as to share the interview experience and updates regarding the admission procedure. Hope we do get through!
