I finally was able to accept an offer! I'll be attending Indiana University!
I found out yesterday afternoon that I was awarded an Adolescent Mental Health Fellowship from the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology.
Along with an hourly position I was offered working at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community I now have full funding for next year!
It feels late in the process but I am so glad things worked out and I am able to attend my top choice.
I wish everyone here the best of luck in securing funding, receiving acceptances off of the waitlist and enjoying the remaining time they have before we start in the Fall!
Thank you so much to everyone that has given me advice on the forums here or via chat. This community has been so helpful in navigating through this cycle. This cycle may have been the most competitive one in history but I know so many of us have made it through to the other side!
If anyone else has accepted an offer from Indiana University either for their PhD program like me or their EdS program I'd love to connect!

Hello, everyone! I hope you're all doing well!
I accepted an offer of admission today, so I wanted to update everyone.
This cycle, I applied to 9 PhD programs. I received 5 interviews (U of Cincinnati, Illinois State, U of Maryland, Georgia State, and U of Florida). All of the programs I interviewed with were amazing and so welcoming. Ultimately, I was rejected from Maryland, waitlisted at Florida, and haven't received a decision from Georgia, but withdrew my application.
I received two admission offers, one from The University of Cincinnati, and one from Illinois State University. I just rejected my admission offer from Illinois, so hopefully that will help someone on the waitlist! I officially accepted my offer at UC yesterday as it is my top choice. It's a great program, fully funded, and close to where my boyfriend will be attending medical school, so I feel extremely fortunate. If anyone here has also accepted at UC, please feel free to reach out to me!
I hope everyone here finds their place, as well, and I wish everyone the best of luck! I'm rooting for all of you

First off, congratulations to everyone that got accepted to schools and to those who are waiting, I hope you hear some good news soon! Anyways, this has been such an amazing forum where everyone has been super supportive and helpful.
I am currently struggling on choosing which program I want to attend (Tulane and UF). Neither schools were my top choices when I started applying but after talking with other grad students and my PIs, I'm looking forward to going to either one. I want to make a decision soon because I know there are people on the waitlists hoping to hear back and I want to finally commit next week.
My main focus is research and hopefully academia in the future and both programs offer me many research opportunities that will be a great help in the future. I secured funding in both schools so I'm not worried about that either. However, my research goals differ between both schools. My main research focus is intervention and prevention. At Tulane I would be more focused on self-regulation and executive functioning whereas at UF my research would be more focused on reading and math intervention. Two different things but I'm interested in both.
The one thing about UF is just that I can't see myself living in Florida for the next four/five years and for Tulane my research interest has always been more towards academic intervention even though I have a lot of previous research experience with executive functioning and early childhood adversity.
I guess my dilemma is location vs research interests. What do you think is more important for ya'll, location or research?
Sorry for the long rant, but it feels good to let it out lol

    Greetings all,
For those who have been accepted into programs, congratulations! This cycle has been incredibly competitive and you should each be proud of your achievements, capabilities, and sacrifices. Be sure to take some time and reflect on this amazing opportunity, and of course, the journey towards reaching this accomplishment!
Now that many people are starting to hear back from schools and accept offers, I think it's an important time to help others out who may be waitlisted.  Many students this cycle will be waitlisted or rejected altogether. If you do accept an offer, please remember to follow up with programs you have been waitlisted/offered admissions to. Many of us have not been offered acceptance letters or have been wait listed to our top choices. In following up with programs, you can literally make someones dreams come true. I think this will be an excellent opportunity to pay it forward, and show curtesy to fellow applicants. In this case, a little help will go a very long way!
Congratulations once again! It's a pleasure to be surrounded with a community of future educator-clinicians. Best of luck on your future endeavors.

I interviewed with UF yesterday! It was a really great experience. The faculty I interviewed read up before hand on my research interests from my statement/CV so we were able to have some great conversations. The current students were also AMAZING! They were all so sweet and friendly. I could tell they are all really close knit, and they all really love UF. It was overall very chill and conversational. Best of luck with your interview!

I went to the interview this past Saturday and the program felt very friendly and close knit.
I’m from Cincinnati and kinda want to move out of the city for a while for grad school or else it would be ranked higher for me.

UC’s program is one of the best behavioral programs in the country, allows you to get your BCBA in the program and is fully funded. You wouldn’t go wrong with it.

I only have a top 2 (UW-Madison and Buffalo) right now since I don’t know what funding I’ll get elsewhere and where my fiancé get ins with his apps (He’s in at Buffalo, Indiana U, and Boston right now )

Dr Collins seemed to really like me so maybe we’ll end up at UC together!

I believe the University of Cincinnati is going to send out decisions tomorrow. When I interviewed last Friday, they said they would get back to us this week, and in the past they've sent out decisions on the 29th. They're my top choice so I'm going to be frantically checking my phone/email all day!

I also got sent an invite for UC! I hope you're still able to interview  I'm sure with things being virtual they will be easier to reschedule this year. Best of luck!!

    Hi everyone!
I am applying to doctoral school psychology programs!
I am applying to much more than you might typically see as I am looking to move for graduate school with my fiancé who is applying to MSW programs. He has a gpa just above the cutoff and only some experience related to the field due to covid related setbacks. Trying to make sure we have the best chances of getting into programs in the same area, but either way it'll work out.
While I have some favorites, I am applying to these schools currently! Order isn't by favorite. I'd love to connect with other PhD applicants applying to these schools as well!
