I'm officially accepting my admission offer at Tufts for the fall! I am turning down offers at Northeastern, Mason, Hartford, and Columbia so I hope that gets others off the waitlist!!! Thank you so much to everyone in this thread for all your advice and calming my nerves this whole process. I wish everyone the best!

For masters programs I have not been seeing assistantships awarded, only scholarships and grant money. I’ve been accepted to 5 programs and that’s at least how all 5 do it. Some are accepting applications now and some at the beginning of the semester.

Has anyone heard from Northeastern? They said they’d let us know by the end of last week so I’m getting super anxious...

I got accepted to my first program!!!! I have a few more interviews coming up but I’m SO excited. Such a weight off of my shoulders to know that no matter what happens, I’m going to be a school psychologist!!

Hey everyone.... I have my interview for my top program on Friday. Those of you that have been accepted to programs already, what do you think made you stand out?

There are 8 sessions throughout the afternoon. Each are 15 minutes and each one has 5-6 people for individual interviews (mine is during session 3 with 5 people). It seems that they’re rotating who is attending sessions and who is in an individual interview. If 6 people interview for each of the 8 sessions that would allow 48 people to Interview in the morning and 48 people in the evening max.

Just to clarify I meant at least 24 per session! Just from looking at the schedule, they probably have spots open for up to 70 people total. It’s definitely nerve racking how many people these programs invite to interview! Never seems like great odds

Pretty sure they sent to different groups. They told me I’m in the “afternoon group” from 1-4 and then it says says that I’m in interview group “c”. So I’m guessing they’re at least interviewing 24 people per session (probably more since most master programs I’ve been interviewing for have had quite a few....)

I’m pretty sure Friday is their only interview day

I feel like this is more of a vent than an actual question... but how the hell do they make decisions on who to admit? I just had my first masters interview, and while I think I did well, I feel like they didn’t really provide an opportunity for me to show them why I’d be a great fit or what experiences have led me to become a school psychologist.... The interview had a section where the faculty talked for a while, then we did small group exercises with a student, got to ask students some questions, and then a 15 minute individual interview. I also know they’re interviewing around 45 people for 12 spots!

Has anyone heard about the interviews for the master at Tufts yet? They sent out an email over a week ago with a “save the date if you’re picked” but I’m getting nervous that I was not picked.

I applied and haven’t heard back yet either. I applied to 7 schools and I’ve been offered an interview with Northeastern, but haven’t heard anything from the other 6. Granted, 3 of them just had due dates yesterday or March 1st and I just submitted them early. Let me know if you hear anything!
