    Anyone here also interviewing with Adelphi tomorrow? I haven't received the detailed schedule, and I'm worried they forgot to email it to me or something. I emailed the graduate studies coordinator who sent me the original invite but haven't heard back. Interview day starts at 10am tomorrow.

    ?? Mine too! A blank greeting card with two birds kissing each other and "besties" on top. I texted my best friend a picture of the box with "Thank you so much, made my day! Love youuuu". She texted back "I love you too, but this is not from me". LOL

    I have a very random question. For those of you who received an interview invitation from George Mason, did anyone get a Starbucks gift package from them? They had previously asked me what my beverage preference is, and today I received this Starbucks gift package with two kinds of coffee, cookies, and a mug. None of my friends sent it, so I'm just wondering if it could be from GM given that they asked me if I prefer coffee, tea or hot chocolate If it's indeed from them, what a sweet gesture!

    For those of you who applied to Suffolk and didn't receive an interview invite today, I reached out to admissions and here's what they said: "At this moment we have sent out our first round of invitations to interview for the program - they went out a little earlier today. That said, as people get back to us we may be extending a few more offers to interview. We will also be notifying some students this week or next that we are not going to pursue their candidacy at this time. I realize that doesn't give you a lot of information, but you should hopefully have a clearer idea of where you stand by the end of next week." I know I hate not knowing where I stand, so I hope this is helpful to someone here.

    Unfortunately, if we haven't heard by 8pm, I think we can safely assume it's a rejection since they did say they will send all interview invites by the 19th. ?

    Also, I think it depends on the program and the POI. Some programs are extremely research oriented and some programs are equal emphasis. Personally, I tried to be as forthright as possible in my statements because I don't want to end up in a place that's a bad fit for me/my future career goals.

    One thing that always helps me deal with these painful setbacks is to stay focused on the big picture/long-term path. I always tell myself and others "In the grand scheme of things, will this matter in, say, 5, 10, or 15 years?". Probably not if you think about it. I'm going to take the rest of the day off to process this and try to relax. Tomorrow is a new day that will hopefully bring us other opportunities!

    Hey, Just heard back from my PI. She said the admission process takes place over the next few months. I guess that means they haven't made final decisions on who to invite for interviews yet, and there must be several interview days. Anyway, hope this is helpful!

    I haven't heard back since my pre-interview, so I've also been wondering. I heard Interview day is 15 January, so I guess we should find out this week.

    Hi everyone, I need some advice. I had a brief preliminary interview with my POI at UCSB eleven days ago, and I still haven't heard back. Does this mean I won't get an invite to interview day or is there still a chance? It seems most applicants who had pre-interviews with their POIs heard back after a few days. Not sure if I should email her or wait a few more days. Interview day is Jan 15, so I'm assuming they've all made a decision by now?

    Do you think I should email my PI or wait a few more days? I had my preliminary interview 10 days ago and I haven't heard back. I'm assuming that means I won't be invited to the second round?
