  1. I just got recommended for MS at UCSD and waitlisted at UF within 3 minutes of each other, wow. Anyone know the likelihood of getting off the UF waitlist?
  2. Day (what feels like) 800 of waiting. Still only had 2 interviews and zero other communication, despite emailing my top choice POI to follow up about a week ago. This is KILLING me
  3. I interviewed with a POI at UMich in early Jan, nothing since, nothing from Duke at all
  4. For those of you who reached out to programs to ask about progress did you reach out to their general grad admissions department or the individual coordinator for your program?
  5. Not yet, but I was told mid-February so I'm not super concerned yet
  6. I also applied to WF/VT and Duke and haven't heard anything from either
  7. I also haven't heard from any programs, except the (I think unofficial) interview with a POI at UMich so I'm in the same boat! I wouldn't worry too much about not hearing, it seems like lots of BME programs are just starting to get around to interviewing.
  8. I'm seeing people get interviews and official visit invites from UMich and stressing a little lol. My POI told me that I basically had to make it past the adcom and that she'd love to have me in her lab if I did that but I'm starting to get a bad feeling about this ?
  9. Just got an invite to have a "conversation" with a UMich professor! One of the profs I mentioned on my application reached out to me today and we will be speaking this week. No clarification on whether or not this is the interview but it's the first I've heard from any program and I will take it!
  10. Hi everyone, hoping this isn't a dumb question... I had an insane semester (as I'm sure many of you did as well) and I barely had time to apply, much less do the extra legwork. I've been thinking about reaching out to POIs now/before the spring semester starts, both to try and make up for not contacting them earlier and to try and get my name fresh in their minds. The issue is really that I don't know if that's acceptable. If it is, what do I say? "I've already applied and I'm interested in your work"?
