  1. This is not true at all. All programs are required to be in a 5-year trial period when going through the initial accreditation process. You will not have a problem becoming certified or finding a job after graduation if you attend a school going through the process.
  2. I was under the impression it was, my mistake!
  3. Has anyone interviewed with East Carolina University? What are some questions they asked or what can one expect? Thank you in advance!
  4. Lewis University in Chicago accepts students with 2.75 GPA, no GRE. There are a lot of new programs that don't require the GRE, will overlook GPA and rely more on your essay, LORs, experiences, and interview. Apply to as many schools as possible, look for developing programs, and turn in your application EARLY (like September-October instead of January-February). That will give the admissions committee a chance to look at your entire application. Here are some of the developing programs I've found besides Lewis: Moravian College Carlow University Pace University Kean University Widener University Gannon University St. Augustine University Best of luck!
  5. I received an early acceptance letter at my safety school, and although I am very grateful, I applied to 11 schools and would like to see if I get into an online program or somewhere closer to home. I am planning to accept this offer and pay the deposit (which I am willing to lose in the event I get accepted elsewhere) to secure my seat. Can I accept the offer now and then later decline it if I get into any of the other schools? Is this frown upon in graduate school? Could this affect me as a professional in any way down the road? Or am I overthinking this? The deadline is January 27th (not April 15th like most programs).
  6. Thank you all! I completed my second interview last week and today I received and acceptance letter from them! All of your responses helped me immensely! I am forever grateful
  7. Interview season for the master's program has officially started! I had an interview about 3 weeks ago and have 2 more coming up within the next few weeks. What are some questions you were asked or what tips/advice can you give the rest of us? If you had a group interview, what was the dynamic or what do professions expect from applicants? If you had a spontaneous writing sample, what was it about? Thank you in advance and good luck to all!
