  1. School: University of North Dakota Type: Clinical PhD Acceptance/Waitlist/Rejection: Accepted Type of Notification: Phone call from DCT followed by official email from DCT and PI cc'd Date Notified: 04/08/2021 DM for POI: Yes I was accepted off of the waitlist! I will most likely accept but I have not made it official yet. However, once I do, I believe that the cohort for Fall 2021 will be filled!
  2. Still have three outstanding waitlists that I’m waiting to hear about! You’re definitely not alone. Unfortunately, I think there are several gridlock situations going on. My area of research is a very niche area so I’m deff dealing with the domino effect?
  3. Dude I’m in the same boat. Seven interviews, three waitlists, no acceptances as of right now.
  4. Thank you for the response! And congrats on your other offer!
  5. Has anyone accepted a spot for LSU (PF) or know if EMU has filled all of their slots? I'm waitlisted for both.
  6. Yesssss. Don't lose hope though! I just got a call from a PI today at a school that I didn't interview with. He's doing a second round of interviews and invited me for next Monday! Super surprised, but just goes to show that anything can happen!
  7. If anyone was accepted toLSU , UND, or EMU and plans on releasing their offer, could you please dm me your PI? No pressure to make a decision obvs, just curious! I’m waitlisted for all three. Totally understandable if you’re not comfortable with that! Thanks in advance! ☺️
  8. So this has been a question/paradox that I’ve been tossing in my head for the last couple of weeks. If people who got acceptances are waiting to hear from the programs that they’re waitlisted for, and vice versa (assuming the PIs overlap because similar research interests and small circles due to niche areas), when does the cycle end? Do people just eventually give up on the waitlist and accept what they have? I realize that this question might not have an answer, just been curious!
  9. I'm about ready to pull out all my hair waiting for these waitlists to start moving?
  10. School: University of North Dakota Type: Clinical Psychology PhD Acceptance/Waitlist/Rejection: Waitlist - initially 2nd alternate for program but have since moved to 1st alternate Type of Notification: Email from DCT Date Notified: 02/25 DM for POI: Yes
  11. School: Eastern Michigan University Type: Clinical Psychology PhD Acceptance/Waitlist/Rejection: Waitlist - 2nd alternate for my lab Type of Notification: Email from PI and DCT separately Date Notified: 02/19 DM for POI: Yes
  12. School: Louisiana State University Type: Clinical Psychology PhD Acceptance/Waitlist/Rejection: Waitlist Type of Notification: Phone call from PI Date Notified: 01/28 DM for POI: Yes
  13. Hey! So I interviewed with FDU and I was really impressed by the program and how nice the faculty and current students were! The biggest issue that I had was funding. They only offer a $5K tuition reimbursement and I’m looking to go somewhere where I’d be fully funded. Most/all of their current students take out loans and/or work part time while in the program and that’s not feasible for me. Knowing myself, I would not be able to handle working while in a clinical PhD program and I don’t particularly want to accrue $200-250K in loans (that’s roughly how much I personally would need to take out to pay for tuition, fees, books, living expenses, etc.). I am deeply saddened by the financial aspect of this program because I absolutely loved it when I interviewed!!
